Me too. The only places I knew of that gave you discounted itunes cards were Costco (stopped carrying apple products :( ) and Best Buy (I refuse to give them a dime. ONly found out by them when I was trying to find somewhere else I could get a discounted card and from what I read it was a from time to time promotion).

So, yeah, for those saying they can get a 100 dollar itunes card for 70-80, I'd love to know (and it has to not be stolen!).

We get a lot of offers on iTunes cards in the UK. This one has 33% off and other similar deals come up throughout the year.

I received my 27" iMac from the Apple Online Store on June 6. I called yesterday and they said they'd have my gift card to me within three weeks. Anyone know why Apple doesn't just credit my iTunes Store account with $100? Seems like that would be much easier.

apple informed me that the code would be emailed within three weeks, I hope it is sooner

They have to wait two weeks to make sure that you don't return it and the remaining week is to give them time to process the request considering they sell millions of computers. It's kinda hard to give back a iTunes gift card with your return if you've already bought things ;)

I ordered a MBP on the 16th and the gift card shipped via US Postal on the 17th - ETA next week. They don't seem to be worried about waiting the two week period. Reading the fine print, it seems if you return the Mac, Apple simply gives you the refund minus $100, as the gift card is considered non-returnable in most cases.

Probably waiting the two weeks because they are dealing with the new BTS orders, and a "return" is a lesser priority??

I just got my 13" MBP today! I also received my $100 Apple App store gift card. I passed on the printer, even though I probably could have sold it. I just didn't need it.

Any who, I'm happy that I have my Mac. I grew up on them and it has been about 7 or 8 years since I have used one with any regularity. It will take a little getting used to, but I am thrilled.

In all honesty, I was going to get a Mac anyway. This BTS promo did not sway me. Those who want to buy a Mac will, and those that don't, won't. Incentives, like an XBox, iPod or gift card simply don't matter. Those who claim it do are basing their decision on the "gimmick", not the actual product, which is what Microsoft want's.

Wow there's a lot of goobers in this thread. Over a promotional? Either you want a mac. Or you get a pc. But to swear off years of faithful patronage over a free iPod vs $100 card to load one up with? These kids are lying and have probably never even owned one Apple product besides an iTunes song for their Zune lol. Or to let the promotion "give-a-way" be your deciding factor? You're even not qualified to own a new mac. Go love that pc and the other two it will take to see you through school.. one Mac would be enough. seeya wouldn't want to beeya;)

Did anyone else notice?

Yesterday when researching my recent order on the Apple website (this was either in the order section or the Apple Care section, as I was looking for info on both topics), I came across a note on one of their pages referencing what was required to earn the "rebate for the IPod" in the BTS promotion

Obviously this was leftover and I have been unable to retrace my steps and find it again, but I wonder if anyone else stumbled across the error? It was kind of a slap in the face as I wait for my $100 App Store card.
