I haven't got leopard yet but will son be getting it. I was just curious if I could back up everything except my iTunes library??? I have about a 350gb iTunes library and it'll just take up too much of my external HD. thanks.

You must have every song in existence. And a killer internal HD. Why would you not backup your music? That's the one thing I'd back up.

You can exclude any drive, file or folder through the Time Machine preference pane. Click "Options...".

And you won't mind losing this when eventually something goes wrong? Time machine only needs to back this up once. Then it only stores changes. You may not be able to go very far back in time, with such huge disk usage, but all of it should be protected. Better, buy a humongous drive since you have large requirements.
