I hate AT&T so much at this point. Just called Premier support and the rep was clueless. Ordered on the 15th right after preorders went live, 32gb back ordered since then. I asked the rep and he says it looks fine and it will ship on 24th. When i asked him about att website stating my order being on back order, he had no idea. Never buying anything directly from AT&T..
 
I just called ATT and they said my order is "complete and all done" and should be getting a tracking number soon. She did not know anymore then that. Did anybody else get this status from a phone rep? What does this really mean? What I am looking for is my phone going to be in my hands by Thursday or not.
 
I am so pi**ed as AT&T right now... Ordered premier before 9 am on June 15 - and I'm still showing backordered.

Finally got a person on the phone, and she said it should ship ON June 24th...

I am trying to keep up with the thread as I am now almost through page 9, just some thoughts to make this a bit easier for me:

I have NO PROBLEM with discussions on this thread, HOWEVER,

If you are updating your status please provide me your number on the main list on page 1; this makes it easier for me to find you. As we now have more than 100 members, it has become very cumbersome to find each person.

If you are being added to the list for the first time, please provide your information in the following format so I can just cut and paste onto the list.

USERNAME- DATE ORDERED-DATE ON ORDER - SHIPPED(YES or NO)- METHOD OF ORDER- [CURRENT STATUS (only if no longer backordered or shipped)]

Are you guys getting an email prior to your status changing to shipped?

I am asking as I received an email at the same time my status of backordered was changed.

Mine shipped today via UPS from Memphis. Which means I will be getting it tomorrow.

Seems premier service doesn't read from a scripted service manual, but rather will give you information based on how much they personally know and how willing they are to search for information at the moment.

I ordered a 32gb model.

call #1 - I asked if premier members could expect their phones shipped along with the regular customers (shipping had just begun). rep told me the phone would ship ON the 24th and knew nothing else.

call #2 - I asked about the backorder status. Rep put me on hold a few minutes and came back to tell me all orders would be on backorder because stock had not yet arrived (clearing backorder status was dependent on where your local att shipping hub is). She told me that it was looking like all orders placed amongst the 1st wave would ship to be on time the 24th.

I was in the backorder limbo until last night and got a fedex tracking number through ATT this morning (about 1030EST) before premier even said shipped (by phone and online). The systems aren't as synced as they should be, but nonetheless, it seems that if your order was before the cutoff on the 15th that you'll clear the limbo stage and be shipped to arrive by the 24th, if not before, as apple had indicated they are allowing.

My order is tracking from ft worth to detroit with a delivery of tomorrow by 3pm. My order was placed at around 800am EST 6/15, with confirmation at 815 EST. We'll see if the ATT orders come tomorrow or are held. Apple (hopefully) is being smart by spreading out the activation load. I'll be eager to see how it all goes.
