Indeed, and that was/is a critisism leveraged at 256GB in general - it’s just too damn small on a consumer machine. It is completely valid to want to play a game now and then, and store some self shot videos as well as some films on your personal travelling companion laptop.Holy moly, the game used to require 80GB, but now appears to need at least 102 (the system requirements sat 150GB) which feels ridiculous.
I was gonna reinstall to give it a spin, but that is a turnoff. Base model Macbook Airs are at a serious disadvantage here, wow.
I am excited there is now an official release date for PC, but sad the Mac version will not come out at the same time
Hopefully the Panel from Hell on the 7th will give us more insight on when they plan to release the Mac version.
Wait so the Mac version is still set to come out Aug 31? Sigh, so Early Access Mac Owners are sorta getting the short end of the stick with every one else getting the game a whole month earlier? They had to move the release date from Aug 31 to avoid clash with Starfield so I guess the PC version is already ready and the Mac version couldn't be released earlier.
Who knows it might just be a money question ship, the releases in a way to get most of it fast. Mac is the one that will bring in the least so it goes last.I think what is most upsetting for me is Apple used Balder's Gate III game play videos to hype up how easy it is to port games to Mac and have wonderful Metal performance is for games. So, it is not ideal for this title's release date to slip. I wish Apple would have thrown some resources towards making sure that Larian Studios could have had the Mac version of Balder's Gate III ready to release at the same time as the PC version.
It is a separate team from "Larian proper" doing the port. So I assume QC and bug fixes are going to take a bit longer.Who knows it might just be a money question ship the releases in a way to get most of it fast. Mac is the one that will bring in the least so it goes last.

If they follow the Patch cycle (how long it takes macOS to get the latest patch) it will be 5 weeks, which puts it at launching the same time the PlayStation version does.
I assume it will be playable through parallels? Or maybe Crossover?
I would not bet on it.Oh nice, the game is 122GB, with no preloading. I wonder if the macOS version will be smaller.
Quite impressive

I'm on the fence in buying it. I'm not sure if this is my type of game. There seems to be some elements I like and some I don't. I do think developers who produce games devoid of the typical trope we've come to expect, loot boxes, live service games, microtransactions should be lauded and promoted.I will probably buy it just to support the developers of this game
I'm actually thinking, that if I buy the game, it will be for the PS5. I've been thinking that my play style is such that this may be better fit for my PS5.The "PC gamers don't play games" PlayStation fanboys have gotten suspiciously quiet I noticed. 🤔
I don't think anyone is going to say Baldur's Gate III is a flop.well it didn't sell 10 million copies in a month so it's a flop

I know what you mean. I was a playing outer worlds on the PS5 and it was harder than the PC. Yet with that said playing in a recliner in front of a big tv is more comfortable then at my deskneed to learn how to get better at playing with a controller - I've been a keyboard/mouse guy
