I won't launch the BN Reader again until they get that Laura Bush ugly mug off my screen. Disgusting.

WHEN WILL THE EBOOK APP GUYS GET IT?!? Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple or someone else, please deliver an eBook app that allows someone to take notes in the margins and export the notes taken in an eBook as a PDF (that can be e-mailed + is searchable). Such a simple feature that would make a WORLD of difference. I don't know about other people, but I like to underline and take notes in books so I can go back and revisit and reread that stuff again later.

Tap and hold to select a passage. Choose add-note. You can enter free form text as much as you like. One day you'll probably be able to export these.

For me, this app is a complete disappointment.

I have several thousand epub books loaded on my iPad and was hoping to be able to use them with this reader. But there is no way to load them. I will probably just delete this app and maybe look at it again when it actually becomes functional. Another crippled app rushed to market without much thought.

BTW, the Apple reader tends to become unstable the more books you have in your library. It forgets what page you are on and suddenly quits without warning.

If it was called the "B&E reader" I'd see your point. But you had to seriously mangle the name to get it to match your pun.

Well, that was the first thing I thought of when I read the name. I'm just surprised I seem to be the only one.

You cant look back...because your eyes are now shot from staring at the iPad, a screen eye doctors the world over are shaking their heads in disgust and fear over. I guess it will keep them in business though.

Really? Because in a google search I can find no scientific articles to support this claim at all. I have been trying to document whether such a study has ever been done and so far have only been able to find a few articles by opthamologists comparing eyestrain versus monitor brightness and contrast and suggesting that by simply adjusting these parameters properly results in no adverse effects on reading or eye fatigue. From what I can find to date, the eInk vs. LCD vs. CRT effect on eye fatigue is pretty much non existent and falls into the category of myth or urban legend.
