Basically, what is the next apple watch milestone we can all wait for? If I remember correctly we should see shipments leaving China by the end of the week.

You won't see a shipping notification until your AppleWatch actually ships, meaning that it is being delivered to you. If your shipment is set for sometime between April 24th and the first week of May you may get a notification at the end of April.

Yup. Most with a date of 4/24 to 5/8 will get theirs sometime after 4/24. That's why there is a spread.

...yes very true, I meant, when will the collective population see the first apple watch "has shipped" notification? I understand that I'll get a notice when "my watch ships"

I have a 4/24-5/8 delivery window and I just hope they deliver on the 4/24 launch date since I already requested it off from work so that I can play with it. Otherwise, my requested day off will be all for naught

The only true way to know when it's being delivered is when FED EX (or whichever delivery service Apple uses in your area) shows the tracking info on their website. While anything is possible, I'm in doubts that your AppleWatch is going to get delivered to you on the 24th since you got a delivery window between the 24th and the first week of May.

When I received my iPhone 6+ on launch day (via online preorder), I did not receive my shipping notification until Wednesday (received it on Friday).

I think we have a long way to wait...

I just posted this on another thread....

If they're coming from China, I think those that will have 4/24 delivery will see "prepared for shipping" on Friday (4/17) to Monday (4/20).

If they have them staged in the US (seems unlikely) the notices could come as late as Tuesday (4/21) or Wednesday (4/22) next week.

Everyone got a delivery window between 24th and first of May. Means nothing I ordered at 3:01. I better get it 24th

I hope you do (and me, too!) but it will really depend on the popularity of each watch combination - for example, it may be possible to fill all 4/24 - 5/8 orders of some models for 4/24 delivery but not other models - this is why I think they went with the range.

I hope that works out for you, but realistically you shouldn't count on delivery for the 24th. At least that way you'll be prepared for the worse. Not sure what you plan on doing to Apple if you don't get it on the 24th. :D

if it isn't here i will be okay. My only concern is i am on vacation the week after and idk if UPS or whatever will hold it in their facility, since i know they don't leave packages... not sure even pre-signing works.

Also you do know apple creates all this hype on purpose. I do think certain watches will take longer to ship, but i think that depends when you ordered it and the time.

i wonder if it will ship via fedex or UPS for the US? I have to see if they can hold it at the facility so i could hopefully pick it up on the 24th in the morning. As I prob won't be home that evening..

In our area, it's always bloody UPS which I hate as they have given me nothing but problems (There's a good reason the color of their company is brown). I have never seen Apple deliver any other way in our area.
