Based on previous releases.. What date will we see the first shipping notification?

If no one receives a purchased Watch on 4/24, then Apple missed its launch date. Simple as that. While I understand that Apple would put a date span to account for shipping problems outside of their control, it had better have them out to shipping companies in time.
I'm sure everyone who has a ship date of 4/24-5/8 will at least get an attempted delivery or delivery acceptation by that date.

Tracking by reference but only after the device was associated with the apple account if I remember correctly.
My iPhone 6 Plus left China on the September 17th and arrived September 19th, so it doesn't take that long. I can't remember when the Apple status actually changed, probably a few days before.
Wasn't their a tracking site we used for the iPhone's that actually showed where ur phone was in China, and how it moved, etc. I forget how it worked but I remember tracking my phone all around the globe.

and I'm on the 4/24-5/8 tier, kept refreshing the Apple Store app until it was live, and already had the 42mm Space Gray Watch saved as a favorite, took all of a minute to complete the purchase... and that was at 3:01am on the East Coast...
Same here. I had my 42mm SS with black sport saved in my favs and had a confirmation email at 3:02. I was also using a new cc w/ 18mo deferred interest and thankfully I updated all the payment/shipping info in the app earlier in the day just to make sure everything went smooth. Had I waited until I actually made the purchase to change everything I would have missed the 4/24-5/8 date. I literally went back to the store and 3:06 and the model I ordered had already slipped to 4-6wks. What a crazy preorder it was.
Killing me that I can't remember anything about that tracking info either. Not that it would work this time around, but I would at least like to try. it was so cool to see the movement all over the place.
Wonder if they'll go UPS as they lately have for launch deliveries, or stick with their usual FedEx fave.
Lol... For me, a few days earlier, I changed my shipping address to my work because I won't be home during the day, and sure if I waited until then to change it, I'd be screwed too. The one thing I missed was that I wanted to get AppleCare, but I made the purchase so quick that I forgot... I was too worried that I was going to miss out so I rushed it. Got my confirmation email a minute later, and back to bed I went...
....changed my ship address to work too! And I forgot AC as well in the panic to finalize my sale. I'll take it to an Apple Store when it comes in (hopefully the 25th if I get on 24th) and add it there.
