I recently replaced an poor performing toilet. A #2 often times requires 2 flushes or more.😑 I was doing my semi-weekly run at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore when I found a toilet for $200, a brand I've never heard of before. What kind of bargain was that? That's the price of a standard toilet at the big box store.😒 Whip out my phone and looked up that Duravit toilets. Holy 💩 it's expensive. The one on sale retails for 4x the price.
I lugged it home, installed it over the weekend. It had a stronger flush than the Toto I replaced and used about 1/3 the water. Win-win. The real test didn't come until the next day. #2, no problem. Gone faster than the weatherman's toupee in a hurricane.😁 That's German engineering for ya.🤩 I should recoup the cost in water savings within a year.
In the last couple of years I've done some slow remodeling of my bathroom. I replaced the vanity/sink, toilet, and the light with modern ones. So far so good.
