Nice. And how does 1920x1200 looks in person since it's far from screen's native resolution?

New GPU and i7 combo is capable of some performance. I went with the Non-Retina model and I am very impressed with the results.

Cool story. Some people rely on OSX for their needs and would like to play the occasional game

How can you game on such a tiny screen?

I don't game anymore, but I tried to play Portal 2 and I couldn't finish it. It's like watching a movie on an iPhone.

I think some of it is just adjustment. I mostly game on a xbox360, and go between a 40" tv and a 22" monitor. Needless to say, each time I go from one to the other, it is a bit of a shock at first, but soon do not notice difference...same for me if I play a game on my 15" MBP.

    Nice try bro.

    1) Just stick it to your TV if u need to (rMBP has an HDMI out built in).

    2) "Such a tiny screen" ?

I thought the largest gaming laptops have a 17" screen. Which is only 2" larger than the rMBP.

Yeah, I'm trolling with over 1,600 posts

Learn what trolling means and reply again, bro.

Oh my bad, after a certain amount of posts, you're incapable of trolling? An example of trolling is when someone posts their experience playing Arkham City on a new laptop in a MacBook Pro forum in order to inform others, you say that he could have built a high end gaming rig. Gee thanks, I kinda wanted a portable computer though. Specifically a MacBook Pro. That's kinda why I posted it here....in the MacBook Pro forum.

How is this considered trolling when given advice on how to get your money's worth?

Or is an informative reply, to save you money even, considered "trolling" for you?

He didn't ASK you to give him advice on what computer to play games on. He didn't ask for ANY advice. He can spend money on whatever computer he wants, and in this case it was a rMBP. Your post was useless, as was your follow up post about gaming on a "tiny" screen.

Stop giving me -1's, dude, it's a bit sad.

Also this is a public forum (although privately owned) where people are freely able to give advice, whether someone asked for it or not.

Imagine if you went out to the street and screamed "HEY EVERYONE, LOOK WHAT I HAVE!" don't you think you are going to get a plethora of replies? Some you will like, some you will dislike.

I'm not the one downvoting you.

If you can freely give advice whether or not someone wants it, I can freely tell you how utterly useless your advice is.

For the past 3 years, I've been playing games on a 13" laptop. I've had no issues. Gaming on my new 15" MBP feels huge. I personally don't understand the need for huge screens to play games. Your preferences clearly aren't the preferences of others who like the 15"

See, saying someone's advice is utterly useless is called an ad-hominem attack.

I have not attacked you at all, but you seem to be quite rude and enjoy attacking.

I have also not told you that your opinion is useless and/or better than mine.

    You didn't give any advice

You merely stated the obvious in regards to one aspect of a computer and not taking into account the other reason why one would choose a mbp. For his needs, a gaming computer may not be in his priorities at all, just a nice to have and thus would not be getting his mony's worth

All he did was give his results of how a game played on his mbp.

It's akin to me posting a 0-60 time in my jeep and someone would say...for the same amt that you got your jeep for, you could have gotten a sport bike and had a much faster 0-60. Well no **** sherlock...just I didn't just buy a jeep soley for its 0-60 time
