What will people's excuse be after release?

Instead of "it's still in beta!!!!!"

Maybe it'll be "it's just been released!!!"

And then a few weeks later if people still complain the excuse will be "7.1 will fix everything!!!!"

Thanks for the info. While. Am a registered dev, I am not the one developing but thought I would go ahead wind the phone at least was getting close. I also appreciate the added defense of others who realize this is simply an opinion of someone who has been an apple user, fan and former employee. But that was back in the performa days...I wonder how many if the mad people actually remember Gil.

Thanks for the info. Here's hoping a lot of feedback is being offered to apple at present and will continue.

here's a heretic thought:

I've learned after two decades and many ****ed up devices that it's best when you let it do its thing and NOT trying to "optimize".

Don't tweak OSX. Don't tune-up Windows. And try not turning stuff off on your iDevice. It's really possible that with trying to conserve battery, you turn up doing the opposite. It sounds counterintuitive, but it may be true.

This thread is simply not true. My iOS 7 device can easily last all day. OP doesn't know what he is doing.

THIS POST is simply not true, at least not completely. Battery life varies between device to device, depending on age, model, settings, use, etc. Some people will have good battery life and some will have bad.

It also varies based on the user and their circumstances. One day I may get decent battery life and the next it may suck because I'm spending my time in an area where the cellular coverage isn't optimal. So nobody can claim, "I get great battery life on my iPhone 5 so you must not know what you're doing".

There seems to be three times of Beta users.

1) Actual developers. These people understand that it's a Beta and don't complain much. They generally know what they're doing.

2) Non-developers who decide to run the Beta, and realize it's a Beta. I fall into this category. I realize things might be broken. When I decided to try the Beta I backed up my phone so I could revert if there were any showstopper bugs. There weren't, so here I am continuing to run it. Minor glitches are annoying but I understand because it's a FREAKING BETA.

3) Non-developers who are all like "Wooo iOS 7!!" and find the beta and install it, then whine and bitch and complain about every single problem with their phone. These are generally non-techies who followed a tutorial on the web to install the Beta, but otherwise have absolutely no idea what they're doing. These people really need to just **** and DFU back to iOS 6 until iOS 7 officially comes out. Though this late in the game they might as well stick it out since it's right around the corner.

There you have it! Stop being #3.

You have obviously never been part of any Apple beta, especially not iOS.

In no way am I stating that battery life is the same across all phones. And of course there are environmental factors that can effect the battery life. Whether the phone is being used all day or the user is in a location of poor signal and the phone must work harder to maintain a connection can deplete the battery faster than average. These issues should be common knowledge for person who has access to the beta, e.g. a Developer.

The OP states that he is losing all his battery within a 1/3 of a day with all apps closed. It is not an issue with iOS7 but with OP's phone. It may need to be returned or OP doesn't know how to properly install the beta software.

Or the OP is sitting in an area of low signal (as you just explained in your reply to my statement saying the same....)
