How has everyone’s battery health held up after a year of use with an iPhone 11 Pro. Mine is currently at 89%, and I was wondering where that falls in line with everyone else.

My XS Max was at 92 when the 11 came out.

Taking it in for replacement today at 86% for the next 2 years of life.

11 Pro Max, owned since launch day. Charged over night every night and often sat in a charging cradle or plugged in various times a day. Now at 96% health

100% after a year. 40%-80% charge rule since Day 1.
That’s hardcore preventative maintenance.

I’ve never gone to those extremes, but I try not to let mine go below 30% too often, which I think helps slow degradation a lot.

My iPhone 7 is now at 81% after 4 years on its original battery. Battery was starting to drain quicker just lately which is one of the reasons I just upgraded to a 12, but the old girl has done well.

89% here as well. Wireless charge every night (Samsung Duo charger I got for free with my Note 9), with a bit of car charging and fast charging a couple times. This year I will probably avoid wireless charging overnight, I'll stick with the 5W adapter. I might get a wireless charging pad for my car though.

I also have had to charge throughout the day for the past few weeks and most days I would end with <20%, often less than 10%. Definitely pretty heavy usage. If I were keeping it I would get the battery replaced with AppleCare+.

what is the 40 - 80% charge rule?

I believe it’s keeping your battery operating between that range. It will give you more cycles on your battery. I think it’s 30-80.

The kicker is if you do that then you are living as if the battery has lost 50% to keep it from reducing health by 10% in three years or so if you don’t wireless charge and use 5w overnight. I still think one should avoid deep cycling and having it in the charger for long periods of time at 100%.

iPhone X at 94% after 3 years. First year did wireless charge but the health took a hit so I stopped. I use 5w at night with a plug timer to charge to around 90% at night.

I was debating the same thing but I am going to trade it in for the 12 Pro because I have the 11 Pro on the Apple Upgrade Program

If I didn’t trade it in at what level would they replace the battery at on the 11 Pro? I am debating keeping it for someone else too because of the small amount of payments left in comparison to them buying a new phone

Under warranty? 80%< after 1 year I think. You can pay the $30 or whatever it is to get it replaced before then I think. My 11 Pro has had some quirks since day one, with the lightning port acting a bit odd and the wireless performance randomly being bad. It’s the main reason I’m not keeping it and also a small reason why I decided to upgrade.

I used to do this and I am SO glad to have gotten over it. It definitely works, but I realized what’s the point? Even the most hardcore users can get 18 months from a battery. A new battery is about $80 or so. That means that in order to use your phone from 0-100 and charge at any time, it’ll cost you about $4.50 per month. My wife is on her phone all day long and her launch pro is at 92%. Not great for sure, but it’s still manageable. Next fall I will either get her the 13 pro or a new battery. My 1 year old 8+ is still showing 100%, and I don’t baby it either.

I’ve had my XS Max for nearly 10 months. I try not to let it go under 30% most of the time and occasionally I’ll let it go down to 25%. I always charge overnight, and I occasionally fast charge. It’s still at 100%👍🏻

I wasn’t expecting that, normally I’d be in the mid to low 90s on our 7s.

Mines at 98 percent launch day iPhone 11 Pro 256gb only with 79 battery cycles due to this year staying indoors working since March due to covid..

Bought my 11 Pro from a fellow member here a week ago.

11PM launch day at 94% now. Haven’t noticed battery life being down because of being a pro max.

98% on my 11 Pro. I've charged overnight every other day with 5W/12W charger and optimized battery charging on. 18W charger is still in the box.

94% on an 11 Pro, mostly just overnight charging (with the included 18w charger) but occasionally during the day too. Still very happy with the battery life.

100% after about 9 months on an 11 Pro. I don't deep discharge unless I have to and I'll generally do a topping charge on a wireless standup dock I have during the middle of the day if I am using the phone a ton. By and far the most consistent battery on any electronic device I have ever purchased.

92% for 11 pro max and I have mine in a smart battery case all the time
