Have you thought about just charging while sleeping every night?
My last iPhone was still 100% after a year of wireless charging so I have little faith in the battery apps.
I have always charged at night while sleeping and never had any issues with any of my iPhones.
I don't think the way you charge or use it really matter much, at least so soon with the new phone.
My personal experiences definitely seems that there are varying quality batteries used in the X model (and probably in XS). For example in my first X the battery deteriorated very quickly and in the replacement (another brand new X, not refurb or warranty replacement M-device) it keeps deteriorating fast. Now after only 34 or 35 charge cycles it has taken again the step down and it barely above 2700mAh (it started around 2770-2780mAh). I have been babying this one with charging it only with 5W adapter and never let battery go down too low (I usually charge it when it goes around 40-50%).
This one and the first X I had both show a lot of variation in mAh and voltage rating when taking consequent readings in short period of time.
Another X we have in our family has about 45 charge cycles and it is still above 2780-2784mAh. It started at the same reading as it is today. And oh boy this one has been abused and battered constantly. It has been let run empty for many many times. Just yesterday I saw it screaming for power. Still it has the capacity of the new battery!
Many say these reading are just estimate and do not mean anything, but I say those are simply wrong.
There is huge difference between how the two phones perform. The better one easily gets 3-4 days between charges while mine need one every 2 days at least, no matter how little I use it. It was like that right out of the box and was the same with my first one, so I definitely know it is not simply just a faulty battery but more like a quality of the battery.
Only difference is that our phones are from the different factory and different battery inside.
In my previous Apple devices batteries were much better quality.
For example in my iPad Air (the old model) after about 3,5 years of use and a lot of charges still had mAh's nearly the same as new one but in my iPad 2018 battery deteriorated 10%!!!!! in just few dozen charge cycles and it show in running times. 2 hours of use is 25-30%, so I would get only under 8 hours of use time. It started so that it could easily run over 10 hours from looking at battery percentage. I never let that run empty either and mostly been babying it like my iPhone.
