Although positive on app responsiveness, I also have a feeling that the 1.0.1 update has somehow given a negative impact on the battery life. Still getting through the day, however before the update I could still have 40% battery at the end of some days with light watch usage. Not anymore with 1.0.1, it's often at or below 30%. A long day with very active watch usage ended up at 5%, acceptable, but still reduced compared to before the update.

I will give it some more time to get more averages. FYI, 38mm SS here.

38mm and I have noticed decreased battery life since the update. I thought it was just my imagination, but I've had a fairly lazy day today and after 12 hours of wear my battery is at 20% whereas on a day of normal activity before the update I would have 45-50% left.

42mm and a *definite* improvement in battery life. I make 2 days without a worry. Probably because the watch stopped bothering to take my heart rate after the update :(

Follow up on my previous post. What I did for the past two days, is disable the wrist-lift setting from the end of the morning until beginning of the evening. Then re-enabled it. Ended up with 40%+ battery (late night) after both long days. So the problem is not as worse as I previously described. However it does seem that this setting has a significant impact on battery life in v1.0.1. Will keep experimenting with having the setting enabled/disabled.

Only had my watch for 4 days now and updated a couple of days ago and notice no difference.

I did read a thread that your watch battery will not last as long if separated from it phone. Was this the case for you.

I am ending up with 40-50% remaining at the end of the day and that is with two 40 minute exercise routines with the HR sensor on all the time. I am really surprised at how well the battery does.
