iPhone X Battery life is crazy on the X

yeah, very good. I took it off the charger around 2pm @ 100% yesterday. I charged it around 15% today at 2pm... however, its still charging haha

Now this is truth. Off charger when I got to work at 7:15am. By the time I leave at 4pm there 8 Plus was sometimes 89%. That was playing solitaire a few times during the day and moderate usage.
I was hoping with the slightly bigger battery in the X it would be better
I’ve been using my iPhone X a lot since Friday, and battery life is definitely a concern of the past...

I set it up as new when I set the X up as new and saw a great improvement in battery life.

Interesting, those kind of numbers are only slightly better than what I'm seeing with my iPhone 7 on iOS 11 (which is still slightly worse than what I was seeing with iOS 10).

Oh, I barely use it at work lol. I only heavily used it last night. Though I did charge it for like 30 seconds this afternoon, but I don't think that did anything.

I have the V30, I easily exceed 10 hours. If I get another iPhone, it'll probably be the 8 Plus. I'm okay with my 7 Plus for now.
Definitely feels like a stepback from the 7plus on 10.1 for me but
Guys you gotta realize both the 8 plus and the X have different technologies. Each respective will drain differently. I have the 8 plus too and it’s a monster battery but for what it’s worth, the X can handle it’s own.

That coupled w a dark theme if x ever gets a jailnreak for OLED efficiency would DESTROY!!
I'm an ex 7+ user and I'm blown away by the X's battery. Normally I'm right around 55-60% come 2 pm when I go to lunch, same usage everyday during the work week for me. With the X, I'm regularly at 80-85% come lunch time and that is just astounding and my phone usage habits have not changed one bit either. The battery is leagues better than the 7+ for me at least.
Yet the plus has a smaller battery and supposedly a less power-efficient and slightly larger display.
My 8Plus right now is sitting at 76% with 4hr 24minutes of usage and 11hr 29 minutes of standby. I easily get 8-10hours of usage a day, 18+ hours of standby, and that includes at least 1 hour of Pokemon Go.
