Restore fixed battery life

I had battery issues before the update, and I did a full restore and registered as new phone and it absolutely fixed the battery issue.
Did the update for iOS 5.0.1 and my battery went to crap again. Did a full restore and registered as new phone again, and it fixed my battery.
Pain in the butt to do the full restore, but definitely assures me that the phone is capable of good battery life.

After the update my 4S's battery life is STELLAR

At this rate I could easily go two days without charging (though I charge it every night..)

My iOS 5.0.1 battery is horrid. 5.0 was ok, a little worse then 4.3.x, but way better then 5.0.1!!!
Apple this is horrible. as anyone looked at the one thread on Apple discussions discussing iOS 5.0.1 battery? 41 pages of people saying battery life is horrible

Yeah I have 2 accounts, and my gmail is set up as exchange.

I have wifi on (obvious from the photo), but no bluetooth. My usage was email, pandora, web browsing, and maybe a youtube vid or two.

You use push or fetch? I'm trying to decide to have my email on push or fetch

Hey guys, my iPhone 4S is on Verizon and I'm running the original software that shipped (5.0)

Stand By: 10H 49M

Battery at 68%

Whats your guys take?
Thanks

Mine seems fine after the update - I never had an iPhone before, is this good?:

I was in triage today. Further, a lot of that is Netflix and iHeartRadio. Also, our hospital is undergoing a complete rennovation and 40% of our rooms are closed down and the entrance doesn't even look like we're open and patients have to walk in through the ambulance bay. Basically it's a big cluster and our 200+ patient a day trauma center's volume has been cut in half for the past week so it's not quite as life destroying as usual. Thanks for the critique, though. ;)

Pushing gurneys around is a hard job but someone's got to do it. Keep it up!

Maybe you could scroll down and take another screenshot so we can see if you plugged it in since the last full charge (looks "conveniently" cropped to me)

It is charging now.. The only time I plugged it in was iTunes for about 5 minutes.. Honest that is it. "Conveniently cropped" LOL

Arrrgghhhh!! My battery life on the 4S was stellar. Was charging only every other day. I upgraded to 5.0.1 tonight and I am losing 1% every other minute, doing nothing!!!

I guess I should have not fixed what wasn't broken.

Sent from my ipad2.

Here's mine. Pretty similar to ucla. This only has about 15mins of calls

I can see it now. New feature of iPhone 5. Removable battery. So you can carry a spare to get you through the day. It will be revolutionary!

88 %

23 min uage

8 hour standbye

good? i think not

I don't mean to pick on you because so many others do it but I have to say that reporting your usage and percentage drop WITHOUT stating how you were using your device doesn't help anyone. If you were constantly surfing the web over a sub-par 3g connection, I would say your drop is expected.

It doesn't help when folks say they get 9 hours of batter life and then we later learn that 3 hours of it was listening to music.
