Glad to see your machine improving, but keep us updated. I'm still on the fence on if I want to order the 2.6 or just buy the 2.3.

same problem as OP

I had the 2012 rMBP and typically got 5 hours of battery life, with brightness at 80%. I was looking to an improvement of 6.5-7 hours with my new model (15" 2.3/16/512), but instead, I am getting about 4.5 hours of battery life.

on 9th cycle and no big improvement.

could this be a software issue from migrating from my old rMBP? Seems others are getting 9-10 hours , could fresh install vs migrating be an issue?

curious if others are having this issue. seems upgrading to Haswell should not have lowered out battery life.

Just got the 2014 rmbp model, it seems battery is showing 4hours left at 81%. I my cycle count is still 2, so I might to run it down for a little while to see if it improves. I too am curious if it improves upon fresh install. Mine just went from migrate assistant.

Okay just an update. So I just did a clean install. I was able to get 8hours of estimated time.

This is just the bare minimum, I just installed Alfred and Monosnap in the background, at 70% brightness.

So for some reason, going from migrate assistance. I was getting a lousy battery estimate, around 4hours.
