When I got the first 6 plus, the battery was quite bad. I got just a bit over 7 hrs of use mostly reading macrumors on wifi, but the replacement I got has a great battery life. I had a long chat of about an hour on viber using 3g, some local calls, browser and still have 86% left.

My battery life was terrible from day 1. I had a friend at AppleCare send me the diagnostic test they run to determine if a battery needs to be replaced and he said everything tested as normal. He did say since I got my phone on launch and he could see that iOS 8 was installed at the factory on Sept. 4th that I should restore as new in iTunes, even though I set up the phone as new on launch day. Apparently there were issues with iOS 8 when it was factory installed and now that I've restored as new with iTunes my battery is great. I wake up at 5:30 and use it all day without having to charge until about 11 at night when I go to bed.

use stock apps and your battery life will prob improve that is what i am noticing with all the screengrabs

Mine is the best I have ever had on any phone.

same here... i'm amazed at it frankly. i was in Seattle visiting for a few days and had GPS running constantly as I navigated around town on foot. easily got a full day and then some.

I got 8 1/2 hours in an area with questionable cell service plus I forgot WIFI on and there wasn't any to connect to. I'm thrilled.

I would not call using the phone for 7 hours out of a 15 hour day with 19% battery left poor battery life. I have other screen shots where I used the phone less, for 4 hours during a 23 hour day, with 50% battery reserve left.

Quite to opposite

Hopefully it gets better but first day of use at 100% at 7:30 am and by 11:45 I was at 28%

Anyone else getting less than desirable battery life on the 4.7 6?

My battery life has doubled or even better. On my 5, I've had to put it on a charger on my way home from work every day. with my 4.7 iP 6, I never have to recharge during the day and I'm usually above 50% at bedtime. I see your original post was on day 2 after launch. I got mine at launch and didn't put it down till Sunday lol.
It it working any better for you now?

I'm starting to wonder about the battery on my 6. It doesn't seem to last much longer than the 5S that I had. Is this fair or bad? It's 90% wifi usage. Thanks.

Carrier: AT&T
Battery Percentage: 2%
Usage: 7 hours, 19 minutes.
Standby: 11 hours, 46 minutes.
Safari: 55%
Netflix: 15%

It takes a few days for iOS to settle down with all its background functions. Did you calibrate the battery? (run it down until it switches off then charge to 100% in one sitting). It's not so much the battery as it is iOS, it needs to be taught where 0% specifically is by draining until it can't drain anymore.

Took a few days, but my iPhone 6 is chugging along nicely now. My 5s used to be dead by 6pm after starting at 8am, while my 6 survives the work day easily.

Take note though, poor signal obliterates iPhone battery. You spend a few hours going in and out of shops in the city centre with the signal jumping between no service and service, and you won't get very far at all.

Mine is garbage, too. Need to speak with Apple and have them run diagnostics and maybe change some settings.

Yeah, they'll run diagnostics and tell you that your phone is fine, and suggest you do a restore. I found them useless. I had batttery issues with a 5S last year that I ended up returning. I'm trying to avoid it this year because my 6 is otherwise flawless.

This is normal for me. Actually, I would get your usage on good days.

This amount is good for some people, excellent even. But for power users who use their phones a lot, it's still doable, but a concern if you realise battery will deteriorate after a year, more after two years...

Man my battery life has been awesome today. I was just about to say that I think my battery readings were wrong cause my phone was stuck at 89% for awhile but right when I was gonna write that it just dropped down to 88%. Battery on the IPhone 6 is pretty decent honestly. I'm an android user and we enjoy awesome battery on android, the 5S was so bad but this I6 is a noticeable improvement. It's not 6plis but it can definitely get me through the day with moderate to heavy use. It's funny cause I had a another 6 and the battery life was meh, this one kicks ass.
