There are so many variables when it comes to battery life that you can't compare to others. All I know is that with equal or slightly increased usage from my 5S during a regular working day, my iPhone 6 is slightly better. Off charger @ 6am, and now home and 68% still left. My 5S would be at about 55-60%. So it's pretty accurate that the iPhone 6 has slightly better battery life.

I don't know why people are expecting miracles lol

My battery life is definitely better than the 5S was. Check your background app refresh settings. Also, your signal strength really makes a difference. One more thing, I always tell myself to give the battery a few cycles before you judge it. The battery needs to "break-in". I'm on my second day with the same charge and I just got my 6(not plus) on Saturday.

Because of the thinness of the 6 battery life should be a lot like it is/was on past iPhones, no better or worse. Of course use will really impact it, for example watched some beIN Sports (no HD version on my cable lineup) and it sucked the battery down very fast. But if you aren't doing video streaming or playing of games then the quality of the Cellular signal may play a role, "network are you there?" can really drain a battery in areas with a weak signal.

I could not agree more. People saying they have been using their phone hard for 24 hours and still have half their battery left are just like the guy on the other thread that has a 6+ and he said he was walking two large breed dogs and posting to this forum one handed at the same time with ease ...,

I don't know why people have to make stuff up to justify their purchase ....

What he didn't say was he was holding it with one hand and typing with his nose.

iPhone 6 on AT&T. After a few days, the 6 is lasting almost twice as long as my 5s. I'm at 3:30 usage so far today, sitting at 50% battery. My 5s would be at about 15% right now.

I should add, I think the reason is the 6 gets a better signal than my 5s did. In my office, my 5s had trouble sending texts, taking phone calls, using safari. But my 6 is getting a great signal. Not sure why, but I'm guessing that's why the battery is lasting longer.

My iPhone 6 is holding up pretty good so far. No complaints.

If I don't use my iphone I get better stats than apples too. Strange thing is if I use it I get worse or same as apples

Well I'm happy to report that I started my day at 82% and it last until I got home at 5:30 with 41% left and that was with higher than normal use.

Like I said, my 4S started with 100% and fell to 60% with extremely light usage.

Still getting horrible battery life.

Usage: 4 hours, 59 minutes.
Standby: 16 hours, 17 minutes.

16% battery life remaining

At least 30 minutes of my usage time was with the screen off and streaming music. I was in an area where I was getting one to two bars of LTE for most of this time, but the bumbers I'm getting still seem terrible. Worst that my 5s.

What carrier?

The battery life should improved after a few charging cycles, it always does for every smartphone nowadays. With that being said I think the iPhone 6 battery life is ok, the 5s was really mediocre, the 6 is somewhat ok. But if you plan on keeping it at least a year till the 6s or 6s plus then I would recommend switching to the 6s. I'm literally on my way to return my 6 to apple and add a $100 towards a 6+. I usually go through new phones every couple of months but I like what apple did with the 6 and 6 plus so I'm gonna keep it for awhile and therefore I need to have worry free battery life. With the iPhone 6 I feel like I probably will have to watch my usage on certain days, not so much with the 6+. Besides I love the 6+ size.

You buy a new phone every couple of months? Why?? Once a year is a tad excessive...

Battery on my 6 is much better than my 5 so far. ;)

The i5 on iOS7 had dreadful battery life, but out of the box with iOS6 it was fantastic. I regularly had 9+ hours of usage.

I do the same. I like gadgets, especially smart phones. Buy one and use it, sell it and get a different one. I like to play around with technology.

On my 6 Plus for every 5 min of standby i'm getting 3 min of usage. I'm optimized every setting I could and still can't figure out what's running on my phone while it's locked.
