Battery penalty when turning off/on all radios

Does it take a lot of battery to turn off or on all radios? (Cellular + Wifi)

Or does it take the same amount of battery?
 
Is that why my 3Gs' battery died like mad when I turned WiFi off and on again though out the day rather then leaving it on? I always attributed it to a poor 3G signal.

Nope! Signal had nothing to do with it, you got to stop using those toggles!!!

The foil from Hershey's Kisses works the best. It has the right thickness and density to block the most common radio wave. Plus, it comes with chocolate.

But i thought the government controlled the chocolate and used it to place tracking bugs so they can no where you use the toilet..:eek:

You know, I can see how that would work, just kind of spice it up, a bit.

Not too much, though, because if you sneeze, then the suits are gonna bust down your door because they heard you. I feel like it would also go well with a bicycle.
 
Just switched airplane mode on and off for 30 times, no noticeable battery drop.
 
You have to wait until it can ping the nearest cell tower for new messages. Depending on your carrier, tower traffic, and signal, that can take about 2 minutes. I suggest waiting at least two minutes between each on/off cycle. After doing that, you'll see your phone eat power faster then a GameBoy.
