Does anyone know what the battery percentage in the menu bar would look like on iPhone X? Would it replace the battery icon if enabled?

You have to swipe down the notification center or control center to see the percentage.

Haven't seen any promo material or demo's where the X shows a percentage of battery remaining instead of the battery icon. Anyone?

I didn't notice this before. It's really unfortunate if I have to swipe just to see the battery percentage.

I haven’t seen one rendering or pic with the battery % on the new X. No way they could have ditched this, it’s too important for a lot of people. Does anyone know for sure it’s still an option??

Sorry if this question has been asked a bunch of time already I am smack dab in the middle of the #SantaRosa Fires.

Probably just in control centre like the carrier name.

so you mean i'll have to drag my thumb all the way up to pull down the menu just to see how much battery is left?
maybe there's an option to choose?

google.com works wonders..

No, you can still see how much battery is left by the normal indicator. There could be an option eventually to switch, but as of now, you need to swipe down if an exact number is critical.

That’s correct, Apple has very stupid software designers, what do you want out of them?

I restored my iPhone as new during the iOS 11 beta (when iMessage syncing was working so I didn’t lose my message history) and I never enabled the percentage since then. It has been so freeing not worrying about my battery down to a specific number. Glancing at how full the icon is is perfectly fine as a daily guidance to how full the battery is. The exact percentage still shows up on the lock screen when you plug it in (or place it on a Qi power mat) and also the percentage is forced when you enable Low Power Mode. (I wonder if Low Power Mode on iPhone X will change anything?). I really don’t see any reason to always know the exact percentage. For me, it makes for a less stressful day.

now THAT'S more like it.. but who knows if these pics are legit at all..

I don't know, just saw it. Not much info on page. From arstechnia.com

But, just bc we don't se a % on a X pic doesn't mean it isn't an option. Some people don't like the %.
