I have a MacBook Pro (early 07). I was wondering what it took Apple to replace a battery. I ran a coconutBattery test and it says my battery's capacity is 67%. 5500 mAh original and it now has 3701 mAh. It's had 376 cycles. What do you think?

you have to buy a new one if you want it replaced

why would apple replace it? it is known batt's degrade over time

I didn't know if that was irregular wear or not. Just trying not to spend $130 on a new battery.

have you calibrated it recently?

unless your batt is like bulging, i doubt they would replace it

with that said, you can always ask. worst they can say is no. best is if they decide to just replace it (though i think its very unlikely)

To calibrate it, do I just run the battery through a full cycle?
