For the antenna fix (yes, all 4 of my iPhone 4 phones that I've used have exhibited the signal loss when bridging the black line problem) and for the increased storage, as I keep my music at 256Kbps and it saves a huge amount of time when syncing if I don't have to down convert to 128Kbps on the fly.

Siri, A5, Camera, 64GB and because I like having current tech.

I wanted a white iPhone, and figured, I may as well get a newer iPhone with more storage and better specs.

Came from tmobie...got tired of tmobile and honestly wanted the iPhone. Best phone period. I can do anything I could potentially think of with the phone.

ATT is also surprising me. PERFECT service wherever I go,tmo was giving me issues..

Sounds bad but i also plan on going to the 5 as well. not because I love apple but I love new toys, and if the iphone5 looks nice then Ill sell mine (giving that att doesn't screw me bad enough that ill want to keep my iPhone and just ride the contract out..but on a 28% plan discount idk lol)

Mainly for the A5 processor.

iOS5 was great on my old 4, but felt slightly laggy.

The upgraded camera and Siri are icing on the cake too! :D

Because my 4's screen shattered after a year of proper use. Got the AT&T galaxy s II two days before the 4S announcement and ended up hating it despite it being the latest and greatest Android so returned it and reactivated my i4 so I could get the upgrade price. So happy with my white 4S :D

Me? I was sick of my iPhone 4 dropping calls every time.

Ever since I upgraded to the 4S, I haven't dropped a single call.

I have upgraded every year to a new IPhone if you break the cost down over the year it works out to be $ 2.02 per day if you buy the 16gb unlocked after tax's
If you sell your older one it will bring the price down to just over $1.00 per day.

If you take a coffee travel mug with you when you leave in the morning instead of stopping by Tim Hortons on the way to work put the coffee money in to a IPhone fund it will be like getting a free phone every year.

It works for me it's amazing how fast you can save the price of the phone.

Because my £$&@£@$ teenage daughter won't be caught dead using her clam shell phone in public, in spite of the misery she inflicts on panicky parents trying to contact her. Hence she inherits my 3GS.

Sounds like your carrier is AT&T ;)
If so, I'll welcome the change!

Someone I know bought her teenager a brand new iPhone while she carried a crappy cheap cell phone. Never could understand the logic behind buying a teenager, especially one that doesn't work, a pricey cell phone

Mine is couple of reasons. One was the 64g and the color white being available. Two, selling the iphone most always covers the cost of a new one so Except for having to resigning for two years, long as ATT lets us keep unlimited, is a no brainer for me. They let us renew one main line every year so get full discount on one phone.

I sell my iphone about a month before release to get a better price and use an android that got cheap till then. Using that phone always reminds me its just not hardware but eco system that makes the iphone a great tool in life.

Well for one there is my early upgrade I get from AT&T for head of family plan....which I was informed after they had my money that they have cancelled this program...FU AT&T:mad:

Second...iP4 out of warranty so it was time to go.

Third...sold iP4 for 325 bucks on craigslist.

The main reason I bought it was because it only cost me $6.14 at Target, they gave me $200 for my iPhone 4 and somehow I was eligible for the 2yr contract price.

Cause I was eligible for an upgrade through Verizon after being under contract for 2 years with a Motorola Droid.

No option given to vote.

My 3GS's storage was too small (I had 15.5 of 16gigs filled), My two year contract was up on AT&T and AT&T's prices were tearing me a new one. I switched to the 4S on Sprint and now I'm happy. :)

Yea more storage was my main reason. I had the 16 GB iPhone 4 and would have been happy with a 32 GB phone. Them coming out with a 64 GB one is even better.

Because I had the 3Gs which was running fine but like everyone else, I was anticipating a new phone. Could have upgraded to a 4 back in March but I waited and the 4s is a nice upgrade for me.

Of greater interest... Why Didn't I ?

Nothing against the 4S, it's a good phone, yet merely a bridge to the iPhone 5
(or whatever it's designated).

What _Is_ outstanding is that FINALLY Apple has learned how to build a good phone. As in, it's usefulness in making calls. Between fixing the antenna and installing a proper baseband processor tuned for AT&T's network, the result is excellent.

Yet I will happily wait for the much more significant upgrade to the A6 project. That will include the A6 processor and coresponding iOS upgrades. In turn, it will also give us insight as to Apples long term vision of the future.
