I always had the black/slate iPhones (original, 3GS, 4 & 5). for the iP6 I opted for the silver and was really happy with it for a while though a lot of times I wish I went with SG. I liked it at first because it was different but seeing my friends SG at times I like it. next time I'll go dark again.

I like the white bezel because I can't abide the smears and fingerprints on black. I had black 4 and 4s, then silver/ white 5 and 5s, then gold 6 plus. I've never had any discoloration with the white phones and they've been passed down through my family over the years. I think this time I will go back to silver if I can't get the rose gold (I have to do the pink if I can get it!). I do think the silver/white is the overall best-looking combination on the 6 series phone.

As for 6s vs. 6s plus, I can't go back to the smaller screen; I love the battery life, browsing experience and OIS/photo viewing on the plus. The larger screen has meant that I use my phone more and my iPad less. However, the plus is bulkier, harder to handle and heavier, thus more prone to drops, at least in my experience. I would be tempted to go back to 6s because of this but I can't give up the benefits of the plus. Hope this helps you with your decision. They are both great phones.

I always end up using tempered glass that has a type of finish that's less reflective on the bezels. This probably wouldn't help you decide but I figured it put this out there. =)

Hi Septembersrain,

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean that you've actually replaced the glass front of your phone with a different after-market glass front? That sounds like quite a lot of hassle, if so!

The curved glass is a clever bit of manufacturing design, but since it seems to cause more reflections than a flatter glass front would, I can't help but think it's a step too far for form over function (in the same way that a thinner phone annoyingly compromises the size of the battery, a few mm thicker would allow a longer-lasting battery and would be a better functional design)..

I had a gold 5s, silver 6 plus and now went back to space gray for 6s plus. I like how the display blends into the black bezels.

The color of your phone effects its use about as much as the difference between a white pen and a black pen effect your writing, or the same way coffee in a white cup tastes different from the same coffee served in a black cup.

The biggest difference I've found is that a white phone is easier to find when sitting on a black countertop than a black phone.

Go with the color you like and if you can't decide then flip a coin. Or perhaps pick out a case first and then think which would look better with the case.

I currently have an iPhone 5S. I always buy a ton of Apple products. But, I never had a harder decision than debating between an iPhone 6S or 6S Plus.

I went to the store to hold a plus, and typing at first was a little awkward, but not uncomfortable. I put it into my pocket, and it fit but noticeable. But, not bothersome. Still not sure with a case.

However, the next fragment of decision making stems from black front or white front. I have ALWAYS gone with black front on my Apple products if given the choice.

Besides the argument of "better visual contrast" with the black front. Is there any pros or cons? I keep hearing that the white "helps to offer less visual stress" but as to how true that statement was, I am uncertain.

I am not trying to open another meaningless "which iphone" should I get. I just would like some useful commentary regarding this purchase decision.

...and why am I wanting a bigger iPhone? Hearthstone, photos and etc. :p
Go with plus in white. The battery life on the plus is a beast! Also, go with white face. Shows less fingerprints and makes screen looks bigger while surfing net etc.

Be nice? Just what site do you think you're on?

haha.... i thought that when i saw the title! there are some mean people on this forum!

as far as phone color.... i've always gotten the gray phones because they are the ones with the black face bezels.

if you put a case on it.. the back doesn't matter anyways....

it's really hard to give someone else advice on the bezel though... cuz some people like the white and some hate it... i've never had it cuz i think i would hate it!

sorry.... guess i'm not really much help... :(

It's a tempered glass screen protector. It's only clear around the actual screen. The bezel is colored in whatever color you like. You just install like a normal screen protector. I've always found these to help reduce fingerprint smudges and I like the color options.

I too had the Black 3G and 4 but switched to the white and silver for my 5 which I really liked. I stayed with that for my 6 Plus. However, I will say that the Plus is a large phone and the one upside to the black front is that it blends in with the screen when off, making it the size not as obvious.

I am probably upgrading to the 6S Plus and too am unsure if I should get the Space Grey or stay with Silver and White.

Silver & White
Pros:
Clean
Silver ring around Touch ID
White bezel is nice when looking at web pages or predominantly white apps
Doesn't show fingerprints as easily

Cons:
White bezel shows off size more
White bezel isn't as good for media (which I don't really use on my phone)

Space Grey
Pros:
Bezel blends with screen making size less obvious
Black bezel better for media

Cons:
Shows fingerprints more easily
Touch ID home button doesn't look as nice

Still not sure which way I would go.

I'm going Space Gray this time around. Will match my Space Black Apple watch...lol

Honestly I'm due for a change anyway, been doing white fronts since the 4s was offered in White.

Ah, I see, so you just stick them on top of the glass front of the phone..

They do look quite nifty, they kinda remind me of the colourful Nokia press-on covers from back in the day.. :)

They'll save your phone if you ever drop face down. Had my 5c dive off my lap from as Jeep while I was helping my customer at my old job. The glass was all broken up I thought, until I removed the protector. Not a single scratch on the screen. Nothing.

Needless to say I bought another one and it's still on my 5c to this day. Soon as I get my 6s Tuesday, it'll get its own protector.

Only question is... Do I want to stick with black or use the green one I got. Hmm. Choices.

Why not go to the Apple Store and check the colors out yourself? The 6S+ is the exact same as the 6+, just with heavier materials. If color is your only tie, then seeing them in person while changing the backlight settings will help. Besides, your eyes are different than others. See what fits you.

Is it hard just to give an opinion to the question sometimes? Dam. I know it's redundant but people ask questions for a reason.

I had dark-colored/black phones for about 10 years and I switched it up last year with the 6 and iPad Air 2: Gold. I never liked white bc it's too flashy but I said hey, I'll change this time around. After about six months I got over both.

I don't like the white bezel. It's too flashy and like you said, it shows the size more. Although it does blend in better with Apple apps. I didn't like it affected the immersive-ness of whatever I was viewing.

I love slate black but I understand why space black f****d them over. Just like why space black Apple Watch is the most expensive SS. I'm holding out for a MBP in space grey. Space grey is sleek, it blends in easier, it's not flashy. I prefer the more discrete color. Just my opinion :)
