My advice is go get some Bowers & Wilkins p5 headphones. Although they will run you about $300 they have amazing sound quality and are extremely comfortable and stylish imo. They are a little less common as well but well worth the price.

I have a pair of Skull Candys, they are really bad.

If you want something cheap and light for jogging/training and stuff get some Koss PortaPros, they are cheap, sturdy and sounds ok on a iPod.

Most good headphones can't really be powered by portable devices, and I really like Grado SR Series, but they aren't really portable, and some people feel they are uncomfortable, I keep them at my stereo.

For gaming I uses SteelSeries Siberia 2.0

I'm kind of torn here - on one hand, I'm seeing people willing to spend large amounts of money on headphones, on the other hand, they're buying vanity products like Beats. When you buy those, you have to know that a large amount of the price is going into that major, exclusive endorsement, right?

So I'm just going to go with the financial side and say that you should save a little bit more money and give Ultimate Ears' TripleFi 10 in-ear headphones ($300 on Amazon.) There's a reason the company goes by that name. Worth every penny, and I would scrape that money together again to buy another pair if something happened to these. So amazing.

i don't have to even hear these headphones to know they're garbage. they look so cheap and terrible. maybe for 50$ they're fine, but you can get an amazing sounding set of headphones for 200$.

meh, of course the solos suck, they have lil baby drivers. if you're gonna spend 200-300 on headphones, splurge for the studio's. amazing difference.

I have the Sony noise canceling MDR-NC60 headphones. I got them for free, when I sold my blackberry storm back to best buy and they gave me a $200 gift card.

Initially I had gotten Bose QC-15, but they would give me a headache.
