Congrats you posted about the first gen....
How about some Solo2's...

So just stop the FUD.

So these are still plastic, right? They look nice otherwise. I'd buy these under three conditions:
- They sound better
- They replace the Beats logo with an Apple logo
- They use aluminum instead of plastic where possible
Basically I hope that Jony Ive works to design the next version.
NO. They are not hi-fi headphones. They are not designed for actual audio quality. They are a fashion piece.
Guys, don't waste your time. If the naysayers actually read the reviews it would destroy the Beats Sucks narrative. I mean seriously, why would anyone actually read a review or listen to the product when it's soooooo much easier to regurgitate the same old crap based on old reviews of old products.
You two obviously don't know how this is supposed to work.
How about those of us who have listened to both the old and new versions and think there are substantially better headphones available for that money? The new versions are better than the first generation (which were terrible) and if they were priced around half of what they are charging they would be in the ballpark with equivalent sounding headphones. But you are paying for the name and fashion statement here.
Plastic in metallic colors looks worse than 'unapologetic' plastic IMO.
Headphones made out of anodized unibody aluminium on the other hand, that may be interesting.
Imagine something like the Beats Executive, but with the Solos's minimalistic shape and even the outer part of the head band being made out of aluminum. Would be the best-looking Beats IMO.

Beats has progressively improved the sound with each generation. Since the original Beats sounded awful, have these new Beats finally improved up to the "mediocre" category?
Actually, the bigger question is, Will it blend?
You dug out the flux capacitor. Nice...
FWIW, Monster Beats were a completely different product, from their old product line, back before HTC bought a majority interest in 2012, long before Apple acquired them. The current Solo2 headphones are in a completely different category.
Sorry I'll pass. Rather have a Sennheiser or Bower & Wilkins.
