why does it say that it competes with the airpods pro? isn't beats owned by apple? i always assumed that the engineers that develop beats headphones are the same engineers that develop airpods and that the only difference between the two are the branding. i could be wrong

Ugly AF, but then i also think the 12 is ugly.

I like Apple finally officially playing well with others - it can only benefit Apple to have all their tech on all platforms

big assumptions - hard to merge company cultures, likely they're not the same teams

So, pardon the dumb question, but what would be the process for connecting the BSBs to an Apple TV?

I hope the PowerBeats Pro is not discontinued. It would be nice if they updated them with noise cancellation.
Yes. And the full Spatial Audio set up as well. I like the ear hook for exercising.

I wonder how these compared to the Powerbeats headphones. I run and cycle with them every day. I tried using the AirPods and the AirPods Pro and they never quite felt secure in my ear when I was running.

There are a lot of possibilities.

1) For $150 you have to choose ANC or all the fancy Apple stuff. And if you want all of that Apple already has a set of earbuds to sell you.

But I would guess most, average consumers, want ANC over all the fancy H1/W1 stuff. This is a good cheap set of ANC buds.

Last I remember Apple has nothing under $200 with ANC to compete with the flurry of cheaper ANC buds.

2) Could be an anti-competition play. To avoid looking like Apple only caters to Apple users. It's a coincidental time to be releasing something so un-Apple as a Beat branded item.

Or any host of factors really.

So this are the Airpods 3
Also, no Apple chip because you can use this ones with all your devices... even those "weird" people that use Android.

So no one's gonna talk about how beats "red" looks "magenta"?
That’s a problem of imperfect white balance in the Macrumors photos. If you look at the last photo in this article, they look pretty red (instead of the magenta in the other two Macrumors images). That happens when you take product photos in front of a background with a non-neutral colour (the warm wood here). The camera’s automatic white balance tries to balance the warm wood by adding a slight blueish ‘correction’ that then turns the red of the Beats buds magenta-ish. The last image gets the white balance closer to accurate likely due to some significant part the frame being made up by black (dark grey) objects (the camera’s smarts are probably trained to assume that something close enough to black is likely to actually be a neutral black).

I’ve always preferred the punchier sound of beats over airpods. One of the reasons I returned my AirPods Pro and kept my Powerbeats. These seem perfect!
I have a beats audio tuned in my VW. It doesn’t sound bad, dialogue is very clear (probably helps with rap/hip hop) and you can keep the sub in check, but I much prefer the Fender branded tuning, as it is more musical. The beats doesn’t present a well blended soundstage.

I’d like them if they didn’t have the stupid visible ‘b’. Is the Beats logo being visible that important to customers?

" ...don't include an H1 or W1 chip, so they're also missing out a few other features like seamless cross-device pairing you get with AirPods Pro"
Also no Spatial Audio... so it's a no for me!

I think Beats makes great earbuds and headphone. But I will never buy another product until they figure out the charging. The earbuds NEVER fit properly in the case - PowerBeats and now this comment on the new Studio Buds. Even worse - it they don't fit right, the case drains the remaining battery power!! Can not tell you how many times I have gone to use the Powerbeats only to have one bud with no battery charge. Will someone please figure this out!
Agree. Powerbeats pro are the worst with that. Nothing like having one charged to 100 and the other dead because of the stupid case design and the small connector prongs on the inside. Airpods pro work so much easier and never have to worry about not charging when in the case.

Might have to pick a pair up and use them for watching streaming on my ATV4K since Apple didn't make it so Air Pod Pros could auto connect to it after using them with my phone, annoying since I watch tv the majority of the time with my airpods in

anyone have any idea if these are small enough to sleep in? the airpods pro are too big and for now i use bose sleepbuds, which aren't actually earbuds nor do they have ANC.
I need some buds for sleeping would beats work is a good question how about the bose do you like them
