Beats today teased that new Powerbeats Pro 2 are coming next year, but it did not share a specific release date for the wireless headphones.

Powerbeats-Pro-2-Teaser-Feature.jpg

MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani can be seen wearing the Powerbeats Pro 2 in a clip shared on social media platforms like Instagram and X. They look similar to the existing Powerbeats Pro released in 2019, but have a more vertical, slimmer design. Beats did not reveal any new features or other specific details about the Powerbeats Pro 2 at this time.

Powerbeats Pro are a sportier, fitness-focused version of AirPods Pro with built-in, adjustable ear hooks for a secure fit. Key features of the current Powerbeats Pro include the H1 chip that debuted in the AirPods 2, IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance, up to nine hours of battery life, and silicone ear tips with four size options.

While we do not know what to expect from the Powerbeats Pro 2 at this time, plausible upgrades based on other Beats headphones models released over the past two years include improved sound, longer battery life, a USB-C charging case, and improved cross-platform compatibility with Android features like Find My Device.

Beats will likely continue to tease the Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones over time, so we should learn more about them in the coming months.

Been waiting a long time for these. Have used PBPs almost daily since 2019 launch.

However this preview video has me a little concerned as they don’t appear to have physical buttons (volume rocker and button on the earbud itself). Hope I’m wrong.

Well, I guess that answers the question I saw last week about the PBP1s needing new plastic-free packaging and whether they'd update the product, the box, or just axe them.

I'm amazed it has taken this long for a new edition to come out. I really liked my Powerbeats Pro until the battery(ies?) starting flaking out. I wasn't ready to buy the same model, as by then it was already getting out of date. After waiting for a while I moved on to another brand of over-the-ear earbuds. They aren't as good, but they've done the job fine at a lot lower price. Still, I'm interested in what version 2 can offer.

I freaking LOVE my Powerbeats Pro and wear them constantly. They never pop out of my ears just like all other airpods model. The only things I would change is get them some damn noise cancellation and make a new case that doesn't want to slip right out of your hands the moment you pick it up.

That's my issue with the AirPods Max - mine are fine but the day a new model comes out I'll order. Don't want to buy the same thing over when a refresh is hopefully around the corner.

That said, I was ready for a new model last year...

The still in the article looks like it still has the rocker, in the same place.

since Apple owns Beats...probably this is true...Apple will always put now everything thats good in their brand name first
Apple its puting themselves on the top...its not like The Volkswagen Auto Group that has lower tier like Seat Skoda and higher tier like Audi Porsche etc
I returned my AirPods Pro 2 in favor of Beats Studio buds + actually. Found they didn’t fall out like AirPods, more comfortable, better/tactile controls, longer battery, etc. Plus, extra bonus, I don’t look like tool with the ear sticks hanging out.

A coworker of mine was in the same boat (except I think he went with Beats Fit Pros), seems like it comes down to preference and ear shape. Personally, I think the APP's are superior in nearly every situation, except for working out.... Within the apple-sphere, nothing beats the PBP's for fitness applications.

I've used mine since they came out, but the battery life is down significantly. Make it easier to seat the earbuds in the case correctly so they charge, have ANC, and a case that is not as bulky.
Agreed. The battery life was absolutely incredible when new, but after a few years, while still okay, is noticeably reduced.... for the case, that is. The headphones themselves seem to be like new. And yes, they are a pain in the butt to get seated correctly, although I don't feel like I had that problem for the first year or so.

Finally.
My Powerbeats Pro only last about three hours per earphone. I've already bought EarPods in desperation to bridge the waiting time.

The Powerbeats Pro are simply unbeatable.
First of all, a battery life of over nine hours per bud. No one else can match that. So if you wear them, you don't need to carry the case with you.
They also always stay in your ears, no matter where and when – on the horse, climbing or after a fall.
In addition, the Powerbeats look very similar to a headset, which makes them more discreet in everyday life. You can wear Powerbeats in the office, but not AirPods.

A new version would be much welcomed.

The one thing is learned the hard way is find my location and locking lost Beats is a lost cause, almost a borderline joke. I had the misfortune of misplacing a pair of Beat Fit Pros and the find my locations was just useless. I guess someone found them and reset then asap. At least with AirPods Pros on can track them better. I honestly hope this gets addressed.

Love my PBP for running and lifting. Great sweat resistance. Only thing I’m hoping for is better battery tech. They seem to flake out at the 18 month mark. A quick reset often fixes it, but I’d prefer they just work well. Maybe ANC would be good too.

I was able to get batteries replaced by Apple for 100. Which really just means they sent me a like new or refurbished pair that been great. Love the Powerbeats. Been using daily for close to 4 years
