I had the PBP and they were very good. A few things niggled me - case was huge and I did have to carry it around as every now and then one of the earbuds would not connect and I had to reseat both in the case to get them to work. Sometimes one of the buds would not charge, rarely but it did happen.

I ended up going to the BFP, a step up in sound, they have ANC, no connection or charging issues and USB C. But the battery life was less. Design wise I have no preference but I do find the BFP are easier to adjust when snowboarding!!

All said and done, if these PBP2 have solved the issues above (and the sound is a step up from the BFP) I would defo consider these (and the battery life was as good as before).

The PBP were awesome, used them for a long time during lifting/basketball/running. Great bass, get pretty loud. I just preferred the noise cancellation in the AirPods Pros so I switched to those, but would likely get another pair of these if they have it.

Nice! I like the slimmer design. With the new chip, and all the improvements they’ll be able to make to sound and battery, I bet the overall battery life will be a big increase, to the tune of 50+% more overall. I hope they add ANC and all the modes from AirPods Pro. Great product.

Been waiting a long time for these. Have used PBPs almost daily since 2019 launch.

However this preview video has me a little concerned as they don’t appear to have physical buttons (volume rocker and button on the earbud itself). Hope I’m wrong.
I don’t like the vertical look of these ones. But yes, agreed, it wouldn’t be good if there aren’t any physical volume buttons. Imagine they add a swipe gesture…ugh.

Loved my PBPro- the only ones that don't fall out of my ears when I tilt my head or bend over. Can't wait for the upgrade, although it still seems ridiculous that Apple has two brand lines with such differences.

Finally - The Powerbeats Pro are my favorite headphones. My first pair from 2019 crapped out on me this spring. I bought a new pair a few weeks ago because i didn't think Beats would put out new ones anytime soon. Bad luck i guess but i will be there on Day 1.

Hopefully they fix the charging issues that have plagued these headphones from the get-go. I've had three pairs, and every one of them has had issues charging both buds. I'd say about 20% of the time, one bud charges and the other didn't, and I'm either wearing one headphones on a run or I'm sitting around for 5-10 minutes so the other can charge. This occurs to matter how careful I am about putting them back in the case, with contacts touching.

Also, about 40% of the time, I'll put these on and only one will chime, meaning the other isn't connected because it doesn't know it's in the ear. Super annoying and very hard to fix if you don't have the case with you.

If they fixed these issues, I'd buy them again. I believe it's a design issue otherwise firmware would've fixed them long ago.
