of course you would reply that way, YOU HAVE THEM!

I have have both, along with about 20 other IEM and 10+ OTE headphones. The tours have nothing on the S4i. Bloated bass, non-existent mids, un-natural, inaccurate highs. Go ahead, by as many Tours as you like. Someone has to pay for Dre's shoe habit.

are these any good?

i was thinking of getting these.....beats get such a hammering by some people but i am by no means an audiophile

Just because you're no audiophile does NOT mean you have to settle for crappy headphones. It costs 2 cents to make a pair of Tours; a pair of JVC Marshmallows will kill them.

Buy the Klipsch Image S4i. Contrary to what you said, they don't have poor build quality. If you ARE worried about build, buy the Etymotic HF5s. Clean, tightly controlled bass and great highs. And you get absolute noise isolation.

Buy the foam eartips. The headphones cost around $40 to actually make without R&D, and Ety sells them for $96. High margins, but at least you're getting way more than those awful wife-Beats.

For $100 get the SE215s by Shure, have had these since July 2012 and they are amazing. Excellent quality, great noise isolation (can't hear people talking with these on,) great mids and has decent bass that's not bloated.

The only con is the jack/plug is a bit big and might not fit on a lot of cases (Apple's leather case for example.)
