I’ve been trying out the last 30 mins, and have to say I’m impressed! Works a lot smoother than the official app. Kudos to you Christian, got myself the paid version.

Okay.. downloaded this, looks awesome, but it's not registering an account for me, nor does it remember earlier attempts.. I've been through this twice, and not especially interested in wasting my time a third time without some input as to what the hell is going on.
Well, I'm shocked you found the time to setup and account and reply here. Over a simple post. For that, take my download...or upvote? :)
Haha, I've had an account on MacRumors for years and years and years, I just created this extra one as I'm not sure I want everyone going through my account history. :p

Liking what I see so far on iPhone. Beautiful job, sir. Is the iPad version in beta yet?
There's currently an iPad version available as the app's universal. :D It's a little rudimentary at the moment though to be honest, and is a stop gap until I can finish up a really spiffy version that I hope to start working on ASAP.

I’m impressed Sir. Job beautifully done. Already got the Pro version to show my support. Bravo!
Thank you so much for your support. :)

I wish you much success with your app!
Thank you, I'd be so happy to be able to keep developing this for a long time coming. :)

Spent a few minutes with it on my iPad. Love it.

Will try for a few more days and the pay my dues :).
Your support means the world, thank you. :) So glad you like it.

Just downloaded and paid for the upgraded version.

Awesome App! Even better to support someone making cool stuff!
I made cool stuff? Woot! :D Thanks my friend.

I hated having two different apps on iPhone and iPad ...thank you for making it universal !
No problem, and it'll get even better from here!

You are a gentleman and a scholar, thanks for the support my friend.

Also thank you XTheLancerX for answering those questions. :) You the man/Totodile.

I downloaded, upgraded, AND tipped. It's that nice. Plus, as mentioned, a one-deep shop will always get my support.

Gallery View an upcoming option (hopefully)?

Very nice app. The official app is so unpleasant with this constant harassment to enable notifications.

Hi! Apollo developer here, I've read MacRumors since before I bought my first iPhone let alone knew I wanted to get into iOS development. This is really an honor of a lifetime for me.

If you fine folk have any questions I can answer, I'd be more than happy to! My subreddit is getting hammered with questions so obviously I'll do my best to do it in a timely manner if there are any. :)

I totally hear you, I had notifications working in a previous build (and as a bonus they don't notify you three times a day about trending posts) but there were a few bugs I wanted to work out before adding it back in, and I didn't have time before the release. So they'll be there soon. :)

That's… really odd. Sorry! So are you registering from scratch? I'll definitely look into this and see what I can do, thank you.
well you did a great job and i managed to post some suggestions...you can't miss it, my reddit username is the same as my MR one

nice! Looks fluid.
More user friendly than Alien Blue (though I love Alien Blue)

Is there a difference in the price plans?

Incredible work, man!! Downloaded and recommended!

Downloaded it, tipped and I feel it's great!

Feature request: I have terrible eyes in terms of reading, any chance of the ability to increase the size of the font please?

“Years of development”. Yet there’s no way to show NSFW previews in the feed. Amazing. That’s a pretty basic feature. A toggle, really.

Boob previews are supposedly coming for the next version.

Anyway, pretty noticeable that this is custom made for iOS only. Much swifter (or Swift'er if you wish, har har...) than the official counterpart.

Yay! Boob previews!

My other wishlist item would be having posts automatically get marked as read when I scroll past them (ala Boost on Android) so they’re easier to hide. Having to open or vote on every one is a tad tedious.

I love the media viewer in this app, but what really sold it for me is being able to actually read posts in the PHP subreddit.

That statement might sound confusing, but the official Reddit app would not display any comments using source code formatting correctly, whereas this app does. Instant purchase for that reason.

Great job, can’t wait to see what the future holds :D

I agree, need a toggle to disable preview blocking please.

Notifications are coming, they were there during the beta, but he had to leave it out of the 1.0 release to work out a few kinks. Paid upgrade features in include submitting posts, auto dark mode, multiple accounts, gesture customization, locking with Touch ID/Face ID, and more that I can't think of off the top of my head. The dev is super responsive as well and really takes feedback and feature requests into consideration (a ton of Apollo's features were added by beta testers requesting certain things). Pro is definitely worth buying, especially considering it's only $2.99.

I came here looking for an answer to the missing notifications setting, which I thought were a feature that wasn't there as I had not paid a tip. I paid a tip (as I want to support the developer) so I am glad to hear the notifications are coming in a later update :)

Too be honest though, I'm still undecided on if I like Apollo better than the official Reddit app, but it's early days for me using Apollo, so I'll reserve judgment until I've used it more and definitely until such time that the developer has added a notifications setting :)

Thumbs up to the developer for having the app updated for the iPhone X larger screen. A lot of developers (especially game developers) really need to get their apps updated for the iPhone X.
