WTF I also notice that always the same people response to those threads even to the "crazy" threads I've created!!! Quiet interesting to see the diffusing opinions. It's all matching! Even though I don't belong to the B&B generation (the time the first episodes had been released I wasn't born) they attracted me so hard that I watched them for years all night long I was so addicted in school I copied Beavis all the time and suddenly my English knowledge experienced a fast turnaround! Fantastic!

I am very confused by this blurb.

I haven't watched MTV in a while but with new Beavis and Butthead episodes I'll be a viewer for those.

Nahhh... watched it with my grandfather growing up, and now 29 and loved the 1st episode of the new season lol.

Grandfather, eh. Sure, go ahead, make me feel like the oldest guy on the planet.;) :D

As far as changing one's view of things, I'm talking from a much longer perspective. But. then again, what the hell do I know. :p

I thought "meh" when I heard it was coming back, until I saw some of the preview stuff and thought it looked surprisingly hilarious (at least when they are poking fun at the "reality" TV shows they now watch in place of music videos).

I think what you've said is definitely the new appeal. Everyone makes fun of reality TV and there are even shows on Comedy Central dedicated to it. Using Beavis and Butthead is just MTV's version of doing it. It's kind of like MST3K.

I haven't watched any new episodes.

I enjoyed the show for about the first half of its original run, but in time it became a "been there/done that" thing, as they weren't really bringing anything new to the table.

Seriously - the entire show can be summed up with this: everything is either "cool," or it "sucks."
