Everyone, thanks again for all the information and please keep posting and additional information that you feel will help me in my journey as a photographer. As I learn more, I would also like to use this post to get some feedback from you, the community, on what I feel is my best shot of the week. So I will post it and ask you guys for a little CC. Please be honest as I feel that It will help me in my goal of learning more about photography and being a better photographer. So here is what I feel is my shot of the week.

Hey all -

Hope all is well with everyone. I am a beginning photographer, and with the recent purchase of an iMac, I want to do more with my computer. I would really like to get more into photography and photo editing. I was wondering if you guys cold recommend some good sites for someone like myself or point me in the right direction to look at and learn more about photography, how to take some great shots. I guess what I am looking for is something along the lines of a basic photography 101. Thank you in advance and I look forward to being an active member of this forum.

I'm a beginner as well One book I'm currently reading at the moment is Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. It's a great book for when you are starting out and I highly recommend it!

If you are into magazines try Digital Camera World they have some great content and great tips and tricks.

Thanks for the info, I will definatley look into that magazine. I am already reading Understanding Exposure, and it is awesome. I am about 40 pages in so far and have learned so much. I love how he explains things, kind of makes it simple for a new photographer like myself.
