I have a Dell 20" monitor and that looks a very tempting project I just need the time to getting round to do that. I wonder if they would sell for more on eBay than the black ones?

Holy cow...it's like...*tries to find words*...

*fails*

i want to buy a monitor (I just hav my 12" PB at the moment) just so I can try that. In fact, it's an excuse to buy a mini too! Yazoo!

Does anyone else look at other people's dock to see what apps they have in pictures like this....I do..

I would pay that guy to do it for me. I am e-mailing colorware to ask them if they'd do it.
I want mine in white!

Jessica, have you ever dealt with Colorware before? If you end up finding out more about this, will you please share? Thanks! :)

Anyone know what type of paint to use so it won't peal or fade? I really want to do this.
use appliance paint it works best
heavy duty stuff and heat resistant and such
great for this kind of project

i would also like to try this

much better option then buying an expensive Al Apple LCD :)

I was shocked when I saw this - it looks AWESOME.

It's a shame a customer has to paint over the product to make it look good.

Hmm.. this would be a fun and relatively easy project. A quick look on eBay and I found airbrush and compressor kits for under $40 shipped. Could you use acrylic enamel for this application? I'd practice on a Dell keyboard first before tackling a new monitor.

I prefer the original black much more. the dell lcd have a very unique look that people either love or hate. I love it.

I wouldn't mind having a monitor like this, but I wouldn't pay extra for it (If Dell or Colorware did something like this).

These guys will paint a lot of things, including iMacs...

Kinda nice actually if they're as glossy as they look.

Thats quite good, but I dont know about white. with the lights off the black borders of the 2005FPW hide away perfectly allowing for good DVD/TV watching. White... I dunno I feel it would sorta 'glow'.

I'd like a silver one myself. PowerBook, 1970's Teleton amp, Icybox... all silver.

Explain the iMac G5 then. ;)

I view movies on my iMac G5 with no problems of white boarders. :)
