I'm going to the Apple Reseller here in Eindhoven this afternoon to let hem install the Belkin Invisiglass Ultra on my 11 Pro.

/edit: Done! They placed it within 2 minutes. Very quick effort. Looks great.

What makes it different? Do they do something special that makes it better?

They use a special machine. You posted links of the machine in another post ;)

I don’t like the self-install kits. The machine is the key!

I know I posted a link of the machine. However, having never seen or used it, I don't know why it is better. Is it only better because it perfectly aligns the screen protector? Or does it do something else?

Yes and it must do something else in my opinion because I was never good at using the self-install kits.

If you are ok with using self-install kits, then that’s great! :)

So the ones in Apple, film type and glass type are they different to what Belkin offer online?

Seems different ones online to the 2 Apple ones, maybe exclusive to Apple.

Still deciding which to get. Doubt there are phones in store with each type on, would be good if was to be score to test and inspect though.

Anyone had both over the years (think they’ve been same 2 types

I noticed that too. Not sure what, if any, difference there is. Compared to the 2 on the Belkin site, they’re the same prices and the descriptions appear to be the same.

When I went in over the weekend my store did not have the screen protectors that you use in the machine yet. Yes, it's weird that they have to have a special version designed for the machine. The only one they had is the one you install by hand. The Apple employee put it on and it look's great though on my 11 Pro.

Which one do they use the machine with?

They have 2 glass protectors that are the exact same protector. However, they are packaged differently and one is designed to be used in the machine and the other is a do it yourself thing. It's hard to explain but the one for the machine has to be a certain setup. But they are the exact same glass.

Yup! You described the differences perfectly 👍

Is it the $39 or $19 option? And are these the same ones that can be purchased online at the Apple Store?

The belkin glass protector is terrible, I wasted 40$ on it and took it off my 11 Pro this past weekend, way too thick and distorts the sides of the display when viewed from an angle. It wasn’t installed perfectly flush at the Apple store either (I could tell by looking at the notch area)

the tech armor film screen protectors are far better and don’t break either so I’ll use that instead.

🤔 I really like the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra screen protector. It’s not overly thick. I had it on my X and just had it installed on my 11 Pro at the Apple Store this weekend. It was a prefect install and no distortion on the sides.

Oh, It's very thick compared to a Film screen protector.

Well in store at Apple, UK anyway, there is an option of a £15 film anti glare. Is this different to the website one then as it’s £20 online?

Are they both the same? Strange that Apple online is different to in store.

I got mine installed Monday night. Been rocking this screen protector (the one apple installs) and Apple Care +. Returned my apple leather case. Rocking my midnight green 11 pro max semi naked, feels great in hand 😂

Which one did you get installed? As my post above, on Apple online, and Apple store there is a difference, in UK anyway.

There is a £15 one in store, that is a film type.

Yeah, probably, but the clarity and feel is amazing. Also, it pairs nicely with a case that has no raisivity, i.e. the Pitaka MagCase (or Air Case), which is my go-to case.
