The CONNECT Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock is compatible with both Macs and PCs, offering 12 power, data, and video ports. It includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports (one upstream and one downstream), two HDMI 2.0 ports, a USB-C port, two USB 3.1 USB-A ports, two USB 2.0 USB-A ports, an SD card slot, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

It supports a single 8K display at up to 30Hz, two 4K displays at up to 60Hz, and three displays with select laptop models. The USB-C port offers PD 3.0 and supports up to 90W for charging connected devices.

Alongside the CONNECT Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock, Belkin today also debuted a Thunderbolt 4 cable that works alongside it. The cable offers 40Gb/s bandwidth and 100W Power Delivery.

Belkin's CONNECT Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock can be purchased from either Amazon.com or the Belkin website for $400, while the Thunderbolt 4 Cable is available from the Belkin website for $45 to $70.

The main idea of these docks is that the dock stays on your desk and you only have to plug in one cable to turn your laptop into a desktop.

But the Thunderbolt port that you connect to the laptop is on the front? So that cable is always sticking out?

That seems a little odd.

The front SD card is great for those who need it. But I'd like to see a front USB-A port for occasional flash drive usage.

But the always-attached Thunderbolt cable seems like a miss to me. And the price too...

?

nice but too expensive. personally I have two Eve Spectrum monitors that each have 2 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C ports with 100W delivery and USB-C alt display mode. paired with a Brydge vertical dock. loving the setup and not needing an extra eternal dock

I was recently doing research on TB4 docks to power two 4k monitors, one at 144hz/HDR, the other at 60hz, and being able to plug in all my downstream accessories on one cord.

Belkin had TERRIBLE reviews. See here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MG5GJQL/#customerReviews

I'd stay away from this one.

Reputable options include Caldigit, Anker, Razer, Plugable, OWC and more. I went with Razer. The Belkin was the ONLY TB4 product that looked like a total miss.

edit: Actually Lenovo has a thunderbolt 4 dock that looks like crap too, so it's not JUST Belkin.

And a note about going with Razer - I actually avoided even checking out their product for the longest time because I didn't trust that a gaming company would be producing the product I was looking for, but their price was competitive and it actually has all the features I want.

All these "pro" model docks being released for hundreds of dollars that still give you gigabit. Multi-gig should have been standard for at least a couple years by now. Doesn't even need to be 10G, it can be 2.5 or 5.. but Jesus.. single gigabit on a TB4 dock labeled pro..

This is literally the same device as the Anker Apex but $50 more expensive

We don't need more USB ports or Ethernet, we need hubs with at least 4 USB-C and Thunderbolt ports. Is there a technical reason why these haven't become common?
Thank you! It's all I've been searching for. Two USB-C ports in the back of my iMac just isn't enough.

Eats up one thunderbolt port and only gives you 2 HDMI ports and 1Gbps Ethernet in exchange…. That’s a hard pass.
Is every thunderbolt 4 dock that releases going to be criticized for having not enough thunderbolt 4 ports? The entire point of this technology is daisy chaining.
