Belkin Introduces BOOSTUP Wireless Charging Dock With iPhone XS/XS Max/XR and Apple Watch Series 4 Compatibility

I have the old Powerhouse as well. This does not look good. I’m wondering what Apple changed for MFi standard.

I think this is going to create a lot of confusion if Apple indeed changed something.

Agree! Although I just tried it again and it now seems to be working?! A little confused and worried to keep it plugged in over night though.

Bestand 2 in 1 for $38 on Amazon. I had this since January and it works great.

Me too. My only gripe is having the two cables coming out. Not much of a drama as they simply plug into a multi-USB plug. It's way better value than the Belkin offering.

I just tried charging my iPhone XS Max on the current generation powerhouse that I’ve been using on the X and it sadly doesn’t charge. I don’t know why so would be interesting to hear the reason but frustrating as it means I’ll need to replace it with a more expensive one that comes out in 3 months ... may resort to something else.
They are taking a page from another tech manufacturer...planned obsolescence?

I just tested my $29 Ravpower wireless charger with my Xs - no issues. Looks like I will just keep this one. Does 7.5w no issues.

I agree, that would be a very bad move. I can say that my Xs Max charges well on the cheap Choetech charger and a built-in charge pad on my TaoTech lamp just fine, the two wireless chargers I was using with my X. Maybe it's a poor placement of charge coil that no longer works with the Max? Does it work with the phone in landscape mode or if held in such a way as to get the coil to charge the Max? If not, I would blame Belkin since the cheap wireless chargers out there work.

Does it keep being with the charging sound like every 5 seconds? I have the Valet and that's what it's doing..

So this is exactly what I was looking for, but that price is insane... does anyone have an alternative? I was looking for one cord to device, extra USB port, charges watch and charges phone wirelessly but standing up and not laying down.

Yep mine was doing the same thing once the phone reaches 60% battery. Definitely not happy about this.
I think Belkin needs to explain this to us.

So why are the old charge docks NOT compatible with iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR? This looks rather suspicious.

I’m actually kinda pissed that my Valet dock doesn’t work with my new XS. Not going to buy Belkin again.

Me too. There are a bunch on Amazon but hard to tell the quality.

You got to be joking, what's going on last few years, prices go sky-high, and for what, why pay €160 for a charger when the included one is free and connecting a connector takes just a few seconds.
And then there's aliexpress, just over €10 for a decent wireless stand.

I called apple about the valet not working with the xs max. They told me to call Belkin. Belkin gave me a 20% off coupon for the new one in Dec. Still not real happy with the outcome.

I'm curious if they'll say why it doesn't work. I mean, any 5W charger with a lightning cable works with XS phones so they had to have done something drastic – i.e hack – with the power management to support the watch that breaks things now.

iPhone supports the QI standard for wireless charging, how come it just Belkings charger is not working for iPhone xs? Either apple screwed up or more likely belkning, i would never buy a product a new version if my previous stopped working, that should be replaced thru warranty.

If i remember correct the keynote mentioned improved wireless charging, but we are still stucked at only 7.5w?

Im pissed my Belkin powerhouse not working and it seems the people over at Belkin not having all the information... Reading from their webpage QA.
I am having the same problem as others were the phone charges for about 5 seconds then stops and begins again after 5 seconds. Really annoying buying a dock that stops working with no reason why.

Edit: having XS Max

Why using lightning to charge the iPhone, when probably next year we might see USB-C... it should be wireless for the iPhone as well !!!

Agreed, I used a couple wire ties and can’t even see the cords. I really like how minimal it is and the small footprint.

too bad it's not out until December and that's in the US

whats the light like at night? I have the samsung fast charge one and the blue light is far too bright

I await the comments from people that complained about AirPowers rumored $160 price all while being totally excited for this product

I picked up the Nexgadget 8-in-1 from Amazon. It charges (wirelessly) an iPhone XS and Apple Watch. In addition to the Belkin, it has a dock to charge AirPods and a space for an Apple Pencil. (everything internal, so no cords anywhere). It also has 2 2.4A USB ports on the back, which can be used to charge the Apple Pencil or an iPad. Unfortunately looks like they are out of stock, but it was only $45! It made my nightstand SO much cleaner, but I've only had it for a few days, so hard to say about longterm reliability.
