Just FEI...shipping is a bit pricey. I was going to order a Flipblade 2, which after the 50% discount is $15. Shipping is $7.50 just for that one item. When I added another item (Bluetooth Music Receiver, $25 after discount), the shipping went up another $4.

I'd rather get the Flipblade from Amazon for $30, and the Bluetooth receiver for $30 with free Prime 2-day shipping and not have to worry about returns if they are defective. *shrug*

Belkin is offering half-off everything on Belkin.com for today, Friday, only. No minimum purchase required, just use coupon code "FB50" when you check out. However, it seems that Belkin's website is getting crushed under the weight of the deal and is responding only sporadically.

Belkin sells a wide variety of accessories, from wireless routers to iPad stands and bluetooth keyboards -- and iPad kitchen accessories.

Hat tip to Gizmodo.

Personally, I think that hat-tips are very un-macrumors. Personally, I'd rather you mention your source as a part of the article rather than an afterthought. It's just the macrumors style, that's all.

For example:
Macworld reports that Apple has made a change to its Mac App Store providing warnings to users attempting to purchase apps that are already installed on their computers but purchased from outside the Mac App Store. The warning says:
[App name] is already installed and was not purchased from the Mac App Store

Do you want to buy [app name] again?
That's the style I'm talking about.

Belkin sight down

Just went to their website and this is what I got:

"We love our customers, and apparently you love us too! But due to overwhelmingly high traffic, our website is currently down. We are working as quickly as possible to have it back online, but it may take a few days to fully resolve. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

But don't fret - our 50 percent off promotion runs through September 30, so you have until the end of the month to take advantage of the deal.

If you need immediate product support, please go directly to www.belkin.com/support."

It looks like this drove up even more demand than expected. Their site is currently down.

I can't think of anything I "need" to buy but with 50% off I just can't resist!!!

Well, at least we've got 'til the 30th to buy.

FYI to anyone who gets suckered into this, they have stuck the shipping prices up a HUGE amount. Most items are cheaper from Amazon even after the 50% discount.

Not really a sale, just a way of getting hype to their failing product line.

Avoid the routers ;)

Hilarious. That is so misleading.

Wow, thanks for the tip! I'm currently looking for a new wireless N router, dual band. Initially I was looking into Netgear. Belkin is on my list too, so now I will check them out. I'm currently using the 2008 (I think) AirPort Extreme. It's N, but not simultaneous dual band. Being stuck at 54g is killing my network. No, I don't plan to upgrade to the new AEBS. Iomega has a nice USB media server that is Time Machine compatible and DLNA compliant which I plan to add to the network. So thanks again MR, Belkin it is!

Thanks for the notice! I just purchased new cases for my ipad and iphone, along with a workout strap for the iphone. 60$ shipped compared to 60$ for a nice ipad case/stand alone is a great deal!

Read the Amazon reviews before you rush to get a Belkin router. We ditched ours for an AEBS. Belkin does not like Macs and whatever firmware updates we found made sod all difference.

does anyone think i could price match at best buy or at any store? shipping is madd $$$$$

Too bad they only make junk. Most of there stuff isn't worth it even if it were free.

Some of their stuff used to be decent, now it's all just pretty.

I was going to buy a few things but decided to shop around. Checked amazon first and everything was cheaper on amazon with tax and shipping when compared to belkin.com after the 50% off - didn't look at what tax and shipping would have been.

Edit: realized this was already mentioned

After attempting to purchase at different times on the Belkin site, I did as others above did and went to Amazon. Free shipping and better prices.
