I have pretty severe ocd and usually have apple apply a screen protector with their little machine doo dad because whenever I try lint and bubbles get under there. If I buy the new screen protector on their website do you think they will have the machine to apply it on launch day when I pick up the phone? Do you think it will fit in the same machine as the 12 pro? Thank you!

I now only purchase the screen protectors which come with a plastic clip to go around the iPhone

It makes placing on the protector SO much easier

Do you think they will have them on launch day? I am a big old klutz so if I leave that store with out one it may not end well!
Just order one online and take it with you to the store that will guarantee you have it. I've just ordered one and thinking of going to the store to have them fit it. Delivery date was Thursday for me so it will arrive on time.

I probably will do this, thank you!

The one online is the self-install kit (and they also sell it in store) and the one they use for the machines is different. They come in different packaging. I know, it is a little confusing.

You’re welcome. The stores should have the machine installed ones available starting on launch day.
I hope so! That machine they use gets it perfect every time. I’ve had them do it on my iPhone 7 and xs but I bought those later in their cycles not when they first came out. This is my first time doing a launch phone and in person. I hope the store isn’t a zoo.

Lately, most stores aren’t doing walk-ins. You have to schedule an appointment with an Apple shopping specialist. Good luck!

Here in the UK Belkin store applied screen protectors have been withdrawn from sale due to a fault, an apple specialist told me earlier in Apple Westfield / White City.

They couldn’t tell me when they’d be back apply them using the Belkin kit. So worth calling ahead.

My screen protector comes tomorrow. Isn’t it annoying when the phone comes first :p.

I asked earlier at my local Apple store and they said they didn’t have the Belkin screen protectors for IPhone 13 models and weren’t doing any screen protector installations at all, especially on launch day(for people picking up their phones).

Was at the Apple Store in Leeds 1 hour ago. I enquired about the OtterBox Amplify as an alternative & was told that they’ve also been pulled. They didn’t know what the issue was as prior to the pulling, the protectors fitted early morning appeared to go on OK.

So they are able to put the Belkin one on with their machine? From reading @docal97's response it may be store specific?

In the middle of several books.
Crap! Hope they have them in Sacramento when I go Sunday. Have them install it on my new phone every year.
None of the Apple stores are allowed to sell and install the in-store Belkin screen protector right now. If you want the Belkin screen protector, you need to buy the Apple Store version and the store will apply it for you, as there is no manufacturing problem with the latter model like there is with the former.

Thanks for the heads up - Saw your post in another thread. Just ordered one for pickup, made an appointment for tomorrow!

Thanks for the insight. Just bought one for pick-up on Sunday, was able to schedule the same time my appointment is.
