anyone know if the UK apple stores have these belkin screen protectors in stock yet (the ones they install for you?)
I went to the Covent Garden store on Saturday and the guy there must have had a bad day or had many people ask the same question because he seemed a bit pissed off when I asked. He said they didn’t have any, I asked if Regent’s Street had one and he said no, no Apple stores “anywhere” have them.

I went to my local Apple Store last Wednesday, October 6, and they had Belkin screen protectors for iPhone 13 Pro Max in the AntiGlare plastic version that they could machine-install. However, at that point, the staff at the Apple Store still told me that they did NOT have any of the machine installation-compatible Belkin screen protectors for iPhone 13 Pro Max (or any of the iPhone 13) in the UltraGlass model — just for the plastic anti-glare.

I wanted to update the thread in case others were thinking about this. Has anyone had other experiences regarding this?

I’ve been to both Covent Garden 30/10 & Lakeside 26/11 both said same thing that Belkin machines removed as they not working with iPhone 13 pro max. I was told 26/11 unsure when they be replaced. I didn’t ask if older models are still being done.

I live in Boston and was told even now in late December that Apple stores are not installing the Belkin screen protectors on the iPhone 13s in-store (with their little applicator contraption). They advised me to get it online and use the self install kit. They said they could still do the iPhone 12s, but not 13s.

If you are concerned about dust getting under the screen protector when you install it, steam up a bathroom and then install the screen protector in the bathroom. This is what I did when I installed my glass screen protector. Went on the first time and not a a single spec of dust. It really is not that bad installing a screen protector, the ones that come with a install tray. If you want a more seamless look get a screen protector that has black around the edges. Just some thoughts.

Yeah and not in a room with AC or HVAC running 🤣

Maybe just stop the HVAC from running while you are installing the screen protector.

Doing the steam trick really does work. It made the install very easy.
I’ve always considered the steam room method. But I like to be able to sit at a clean table with a headlight or table lamp and see the turned off screen prior to protector install. As well as after for imperfections. I’m sure a steamy room wouldn’t be ideal conditions for that. Maybe you’re definition of steamy room is different to mine. I’m thinking sauna steamy 🤣

When I mean steam up the bathroom, I mean run a hot shower until it starts to steam up the room. Turn off the shower after a few minutes of steam. With the install tray it was very easy, only took me maybe 10 minutes total time. I was very pleased with the end result, being able to install it the first time and not have to deal with dust particles or air bubbles.

Ok so not like a steam room then where one can’t see more than a foot in front of them ?🤣

Wow — as of 2 weeks ago, stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area were installing Belkin screen protectors left and right (very busy line) on iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro.
