“Professionally applied” hahahaha.
This is not an Apple product.Apple literally makes money hand over fist selling these. It’s nuts. They could be $80 and people would buy it. They sell sooooo much of them.
Notched screen protectors are so dumb. Not only are they ugly, but you'll always feel that sharp edge when pulling down NC. I always get full-screen ones with the black border, they bother infinitely less than these also because they extend past the end of the display on all sides. They should be more popular.
Have you tried applying one yourself? Sometimes they’re not that easy, and Apple has a specific machine that will apply the screen protector perfectly. So in that case, yes, I would say that’s ‘Professionally installed’, given that they have equipment to do so, when we do not.

Sadly companies don't make really curved glasses, they are in fact completely flat, it's just the edges that are rounded, but not curved. They can make curved glasses for the Galaxy and Huawei, but not for the iPhone?
I wouldn’t expect more than a little extra protection for putting down on some surfaces.Anybody have any idea if the physics behind this? On the surface, it seems absurd to think that a cheaper, thinner glass could possibly protect the tougher, thicker, most highly engineered glass in the world that comes on the new iPhones.

Peanuts when you've spent over a grand on an overglorified phone.
I don't see what the problem here is.
Probably just has to do with impact absorption. The screen protector can take some of the energy from a drop and potentially save the phone itself from shattering since the protector will shatter first. It’s not an ideal solution though, and in this case you’re paying $60 to put worse glass on top of your good glass.
People really use screen protectors? Bleech!
Shouldn't you be on a helicopter with Jadis?
I'd say I'm better than most, but those application machines can even let a dummy do a good install.
IF... they bother to align your phone properly in the cradle. However I will say as far as my experiences have gone, the people in the Apple store will happily reapply and reapply and reapply new ones until they get one on you're happy with.
Too bad the oleophobic coating wears off in like a month.
Because comparable ones are much less? Just because the phone is $1000, doesn't mean accessories need an inflated cost so you feel better that you're buying a "premium" accessory for a premium product.
Apple has machines to apply it. Though I wonder if it would work with the glass covers.“Professionally applied” hahahaha.

Complain to Belkin if you feel it’s too expensive, instead of bitching here. But this is MacRumours so of course everybody bitches here about everything.
(Sure, Apple takes a cut of everything sold in their store. Just like your favourite supermarket. Pure evil.)
