Belkin's Wemo brand debuted its $250 Smart Video Doorbell with HomeKit Secure Video support back at CES in January, and the doorbell is now available through Apple's online and retail stores.

The Wemo Smart Video Doorbell, which is also available directly from Belkin, is one of the few doorbells on the market so far to support HomeKit Secure Video, which not only allows video feeds to show up directly in the Home app on your devices, but with a paid iCloud+ subscription, video activity for the past 10 days can be securely uploaded for viewing and sharing.

A home hub device such as a HomePod, iPad, or Apple TV within range of the doorbell will also privately analyze events captured by the doorbell and can identify people via face recognition, as well as distinguish between animals, vehicles, and package deliveries.

The Wemo doorbell includes a 1600x1200 HD camera with a 223º diagonal field of view and low-light sensitivity, as well as infrared technology for nighttime motion sensing, two-way talk capabilities, and dual-band Wi-Fi support. It does require a wired doorbell system and comes with a wedge spacer to allow you to mount it at an angle if desired.

Definitely better than Ring.

This Belkin doorbell is probably the best HomeKit Doorbell available anywhere and at least for the foreseeable future.

I have the Netatmo Doorbell, which works "meh" but does the job. But i've never had this little popup menu, shown on the preview, where i could switch on the light. Is this a feature of this specific doorbell?

I've set up the light, garage door and doorbell in the same Homekit room, so it "should" appear, right?

If it’s better than POS Ring, I’m sold
Ring has been reliable for us, but the ‘security flaws’ has provoked us to switch.

The ‘Wemo’ (<— Totally awkward naming), for a ~$250 price tag seems like the quality of the picture is good, but it has to have decent lowlight quality standards, and the range-of-view at 223° covers quite a bite of area.

This might be out next unit.

I've had the Logitech for a few weeks now and it has been mostly flawless. Summer will tell, but I read that they pushed a firmware update recently that fixed most of the overheating issues. What sold me on it over this Wemo was the camera angle. I did not want the extreme fisheye effect and I am very glad I chose the Logitech for this reason--it is the perfect viewing angle IMO... wide but not too wide. Audio quality is better than I expected. I've had a few dropouts but they are usually in the middle of the night and only last a few minutes at most. Since it's new I wondered if most of the dropouts had to do with firmware/software updates. We've had a few mid-80s days, direct sunlight hitting the doorbell in late afternoon and not a single heat issue yet.

forgive my ignorance - but, does anyone have any idea how this (or the Logitech Circle) stacks up compared to the Nest Hello?

I would like a HomeKit device but needing mains power is a showstopper.

I’ll stick with my budget Eufy camera which has a battery.

I have had the Logitech as well and it has been rock solid for me. 0 connectivity issues. My only complaint with it is lack of night vision but the porch light it works pretty good.

Hmm, Logitech $50 cheaper and IMO has a superior vertical viewing perspective. Wonder what the $50 advantage is here.

no, this is a HomeKit secure video feature.
Are there any other doorbells that support HKSV? Netatmo promised support few years ago and still nothing.
Robin ProLine, Logi Circle, and this Belkin are the only 3.
