Hi,

Anyone know if the benM tethering hack thing is working for 3.1.2 yet? I've been hearing that 3.1.2 is much better than 3.0.1, and I really want to update, but also don't want to lose my tethering ability!

Anyone successful at getting the benM to work on 3.1.2, and can confirm that is a-ok?

Thanks guys!

Benm posted a new tethering hack yesterday. I haven't tried it just yet, awaiting feedback.

I personally don't want the hassle of the jail-breaking arms race, so will stay put on 3.0 for now.

The BenM hack does not work on 3.1.2 and never will due to changes in the baseband. There IS a tethering hack for 3.1.2 however. It requires jailbreaking, but its as simple as downloading an "app".

To jailbreak run this utility for your OS with your Iphone Connected:

www.blackra1n.com

To get tethering working see this website:

http://limitededitioniphone.com/its...phone-devices-enable-native-mms-on-iphone-2g/

Then your done.

gotta off-topic, but since you stated it i would love to know what you have heard about 3.1.2 being better tha 3.0.1. since im on 3.1.2 thx

Since supposedly benm works for 3.1.2, has anyone seen the stealth .ipcc (AT&T 6.0) updated to work for 3.1.2?

Interesting that installing MyWi enables bluetooth and USB tethering on 3.1.2. I just found this out by mistake this morning, although I think I've seen threads about this in the past. Expensive way to go about it, but it works and it's a no brainer installation!

9.99 is expensive for something that can also broadcast as a hot spot for multiple people to use?? Sheesh, if 9.99 is alot, I can only imagine how you view $100.
