I bet some dip**** bend the display phone.

I'm just hearing about bend gate. Watched a video of a bend test on the iP6+ and they noted it bent. *slaps forehead* Amazing, trying to bend a slab of aluminum shell results in a bent phone. What did people expect, that they are indestructible? Note to self, do not try to destroy my electronics, I can succeed.

Regarding bend gate- my question is have these issues showed up out of the box, or have users accidentally bent them in normal use?

Again I am not saying that you are wrong but all that manager can speak for is his local store so you can not pass it off as fact.

Believe what you need to believe. If the store manager says the company is aware of this and they were playing the bend video from YouTube on their flat screens via the Apple TV, (which I doubt they would do unless they are authorized by their corporate office) coupled with the FACT that Apple put out a statement that same day about the bend, which I'm sure you heard about right here on MR, that would show that the company knows about it. That is FACT.

Why are you so adamant about believing this? Facts are facts and if you don't believe that research the information yourself sir.

All the Beats headphones on display I tried out at Target were broken. But then magically the pair I bought that hadn't been subject to the whims of every dork who goes into an electronics section worked and hasn't had any problems.

Freaking magic.

Was this sarcasm? I couldn't tell... :p

Brilliant.

Are you trying to tell internet to be reasonable, calm, and collected?

Since the internet is made up of humans, which I'd like to believe we all are...then yes. :). Social media has turned people into drama queens and cowards. They can spread FUD, troll, insult people and even threaten people (something they would never do face to face) because they can hide behind their computers like cowards and make mountains out of molehills by causing a ruckus that wasn't necessary.
My best friend and I both bought iPhone 6 Plus's on preorder night. I just got mine on Thursday. Been enjoying it immensely. His hasn't been delivered yet. He's scared to do death to even touch his phone in fear of it bending, which is flat out ridiculous.
The bend videos, coupled with the news has made him uncomfortable. I told him if he's not comfortable with the iPhone 6 then he should go back to Android and get one of the Samsung, HTC or even Windows phones. It's ridiculous to spend hundreds of dollars on a product and allow the internet to scare you about using it.
Yes, he could avoid social media but it's also on the news and Samsung has made numerous attempts at sabotaging Apple and I hope Samsung fry's in the end. I just bought their top of the line TV and I'm sorry I gave them one red cent. Makes me ashamed to own a Samsung product.

Neither. Someone grabbed their phone and twisted it to bend the phone on purpose, and bendgate was born.

That isn't completely true. The CNet reviewer noted his 6+ was bent after testing it. And that was after just normal use. I think bendgate isn't going to go away because the longer people have the 6+, the more these issues will come up. My only question would be if there is a major difference between the Note and the 6+ in terms of how easily they bend. I mean, I would expect people putting these massive phones in their pants pocket is not good for the phone.

So this makes it so?

Ummm, ok.

Makes what so? Yes, the phone can bend in your pocket. I think at this point saying it won't is just denial of the facts. Will it happen to most people? Highly doubtful. But it is going to happen when you have a thin phone that large.

Yes, and I can win the lottery too. The force you would have to exert to your pocket to bend an iPhone is ridiculous. And just because a CNet reviewers says so, it doesn't mean squat.

There are these things called "click bait". Look it up. While people like you eat up this crap, these guys are raking in the dollars of all the clicks their ridiculous stories and statements are generating.

Indeed it was. If a display model isn't broken, that probably just means that minors don't care about it. It was obviously frustrating that only the mid-size Beats model worked so I could get a sound gauge, but the set I bought had a 30-day return policy. Bought them. They obviously worked at home, and I was impressed with most everything about them.

I guarantee you that store model iphone was bent by a chucklehead who saw the bendy video online and decided to try it out on a store model.

Well sadly that's society for you. They stress test the demos before they buy. Not necessarily to purposely jack the product up out of malicious intent, but rather to see how durable something is. That's typical of many customers in different types of products.

It's a great way to get a free ride down to the police station and a start on a brand new criminal record.

I've seen a display Galaxy s5 with a million scratches. Did the just get there or did someone do it? A bent iphone 6 on display being bent, did someone put it in their pocket for 11 hours? Or do you think someone deliberately vandalized the product?

Well, putting it in your pocket for 11 hours won't bend it anyway, so that option is out.

All it'll take is Apple busting a few punks doing this. And they will.

I wouldn't call them punks. Probably some Canadian crackberry members or that bengate guy. He's from Canada.

The human race sucks.

Not true. Some people suck, but because they stick out more, the irritation shines among us all.

It's like saying your arm sucks, when a mosquito bites it.

Was in the market for a new phone, heard about bendgate, and decided to head over to the Apple Store in Metrotown (Vancouver/Canada) after work and check out the display models - and the very first iPhone 6+ I handled had a noticeable bend in it...

Not sure how reliable the info is that only "9" people have issued complaints regarding this issue so far.

Took a video - it's really noticeable from the first angle. Anyone else seen this in display models at Apple Stores?

You do know that there probably thousands of people handling that phone right?

UnboxedTheraphy went there and he practices first before he did the video.. I like the guy channel but he is making big deal about it.. I might unsubscribe lol

Well, your pair still sounds broken, it just doesn't show...
