It will in due time. I actually called my BMW dealership after reading this article and spoke with the Service Manager. He said he attended a conference where BMW is working on a future App, unknown release date. He said software is the most problematic part when incorporation into the Electronic Control Module.

Hopefully this will be a possibility with my new 7 Series.
Yup service managers of car lots usually have all the inside knowledge

Yeah, BMW and others are working on smartwatch integration.

This past CES, BMW showed off using a Samsung Gear S smartwatch to recall an i3 from its parking spot automatically.

You could be at the bottom of a five story parking garage, and when you hit the button on the app, the car backs itself out of its space, then drives down the garage ramps to meet you at the exit.

(The S was used because it has standalone cellular, so it can talk over any distance to a cellular device in the car.)

It's a BMW dealership, not a local small car lot. Most service managers, especially at more Luxury Deslerships have at least 20-25 years of experience with vehicles. Again, if you READ my post, he stated he attended a conference where an app was in the works when this was mentioned.

It conveyed my comment succinctly and accurately; I'm not worried about how often the text has been used prior.

Ok, exactly what post or posts did you think were showing 'hate' and why? Neither of those things were clear by your use of that cliche. Up to that point, people were correctly observing that on a quarter of million dollar car, almost no one will enjoy the feature.

How is that 'hate' anyway?

So using that particular cliche didn't make it clear what you were saying, nor did it seem very apt for this discussion.
