Does that declining deductible go any lower than $100? I'm intrigued by the new group plan by ATT for $30.

I don't think so, but just to let you know. There are different tiers for what the deductibles are. As of Sept 1, 2016 the rates went up for them by $26. The iPhone 6 and up is $225 and the declining deductible after a year would be $112.50. The 7/7+ 256gb is $250. You need to check the chart for what the deductibles are for laptops or iPads

I'm in the UK and just looked at the square trade site but there doesn't seem to be any option on there to actually buy a protection plan.

Sorry to seem dim but how do you get square trade cover?

Google is not being my friend here.

It's a perk of the card as long as you pay your phone bill with the card each month. Call your branch and they'll explain. It's great!

have you used it?
Review I saw said that the WellsFargo is supplemental insurance and they don't have to pay a dime until you can show that you've already gone through your homeowners and any other insurance options that you might have.

Didn't see your thread. Swear i looked. But yeah, increased and not covering the main new feature in water resistance? LOL Hello squaretrade..

AC+ covers accidental damage (including water). Are you confusing the normal warranty without AC+? That does not cover water damage.

For OP, AppleCare+ is the best especially with $29 screen replacement. Get it.

Square trade lets you get your phone repaired at the apple store and will reimburse you.

NEVER had a bad experience with Squaretrade.

Why would you ask for replacement from squaretrade? Just go to the Apple store, get it replaced and file a claim with Squaretrade for reimbursement. That's one of the USP of Squaretrade, they let you get your phone repaired at Apple Store and sends you the money and they advertise this as one of their key offerings.

My sister got pushed into the pool during a party, I went to the apple store, got a replacement, filed a claim with square trade and within a few days they mailed the check.

Nowhere in the policy we signed up for, did it say we were able to go to Apple and get them to reimburse us for a new phone. IN fact, it says in the police they have to replace it OR repair it.

What policy do you have where you can get them to pay the full cost of a phone with no issues? The reason they replace or repair it is because it costs them less. Also, that means I have to lay out 800 or so dollars, which i also didn't want to do, because from what I have experienced personally, good luck getting it back.

All I can imagine is that you didn't need your whole phone replaced, because we did. The only thing i can find in our policy is a reimbursement for Apple Genius repairs, but not whole new phones.

Plus there is the decidable which isn't near as good as Applecares

Squaretrade has always made a point of having the convenience of getting the phone repaired at geniusbar.

I don't think I mentioned they will give you a new phone. It's asinine to expect that.

You erred by not having your phone replaced at geniusbar, simple as that.

You just said that I'd be asinine to expect a new phone but then in the next sentence said it was my error to NOT have it replaced and do that very thing. So which is it?

I think its YOUR error, actually, that they ONLY pay for repairs, not a new phone, which we needed according to ST.

Dude, do you realize getting it replaced at applestore means getting an out of warranty replacement for $299 for 6s or $329 for 6s plus. Apple hardly repairs anything at applestore apart from the screen and battery. They have a flat rate out of warranty replacement.

I have got it done and I know what I am talking about.

An out of warranty replacement from Apple is an refurb phone with new display. New battery and new enclosure. It has been like this since years now.

See the attached screenshot.

Just go to Apple, ask for an out of warranty replacement if your problem qualifies for it, go to squaretrade website, file a claim, upload your receipts and squaretrade mails you the check. Been there, done that.

You didn't know how things are done, still don't.

As I am a Jump On Demand customer with T-mobile, insurance is part of the price I pay monthly. Out of eight iPhones I've owned I only ever damaged one, and T-Mobile took care of me with a replacement device within 3 days so I'm good...

why didn't you just say this in the first place? lol but ti doest mater really its moot we moved to ac+ no need to get more antagonistic for something irrelevant

thanks for the info

Has anyone considered Worth ave insurance? It is a bit more expensive per year but for those of us who are only looking for 1 year of coverage it is $77. Also it covers theft.

Edit: I am a new member so I cannot link but google worth ave iPhone insurance

Here's the links for everyone:

Not stellar ratings, but a lot of people don't seem to understand that they didn't buy an extended warranty, but an insurance policy.
