Concerning watchOS 10. After the upgrade to iOS 17 and watchOS 10, I discovered that I cannot scroll through the watch faces on Watch. In the Watch App, the watch faces it shows that I should be able to see, are missing some of the images inside of the watch faces.
Is this just me????
It’s a long press to get into the customise menu and then swipe to select from there now. I’m not entirely sure why the change, it seems like a downgrade.

I just finished with Apple Support via Chat. I was not aware of that change. In this case there is no bug. Thanks for replying!

I find it funny how many people complain about subscriptions. They expect the creator to survive forever from a one-off payment of 3.99. If you like/need an app, then support the creator. I subscribe to multiple apps because they do things I want/need.

Watch OS does not have a new "design language". It's an iteration on the one that has existed for quite some time. A change in "design language" happened when iOS dropped skeuomorphism in favor of what they've continue to build on up until today. It's a slow evolution of the "neumorphism" aesthetic.

It’s all about the value people put on an app. I pay the AU$15 per month on Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop and several other apps and services. But I won’t pay for weather or a calendar, or other apps that have a good alternative. I ditched Fantastical when they forced a subscription to allow usability. Whereas Notability allows a previous user to use nearly every function without having to move to the subscription model. If an app developer wants to force current users into a sub, then they have lost a customer.

Before you know it, MR will be a sub.
MR and @arn did raise the "support MR" price tag from $25 to $50 this year... which means I'm out... full on subscription next up?

I said that >10 years ago. It had zero effect and subscription models are here to stay (until something else appears that allows even more customer milking).

Just wondering: what makes the mentioned apps the „BEST APPS“? Has there been some kind of independent evaluation or have developers paid good money for this award?

Kickbacks from the developer to the MR editorial staff? It's a massive conspiracy... just say "NO!" to subscription apps... your pocketbook will be empty.

"BEST" is always subjective, and there is no "one size fits all"... YMMV.

No, but don't want to support him for the rest of his life because I decided to "buy" (read "rent") his app.

Let me "buy" your app and use it until you offer me a reason to "buy" the new version... just don't stand there with your hand out begging me to support you.

That’s exactly what lots of “developers” do. Wait for the cash to roll in monthly and give you a compatibility update when necessary. The only subscription based app I have (a.k.a. rent) is Firecore’s Infuse ($0.99) - but he keeps pumping out feature updates (and by the way he also offers a one time purchase without subscription).
