It's been a while since I've read anything not for school, but that was "Three Days To Never" by Tim Powers. It's a cool book...presents an interesting twist on Einstein's theories, Charlie Chaplain and weird Cali hippie cults.

Actually, anything by Tim Powers is a good read. He writes "secret histories", sort of like Dan Brown except he's actually a good author. He spends at least four years researching before he even writes anything for a project. Here's a list of his books if anyone is interested: http://www.theworksoftimpowers.com/works1.html#novels

The Unthinkable Thoughts of Jacob Green by Joshua Braff. The brother of Zach Braff. It is a bit intense but very well written.

Probably the first to books in the Dexter series, "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and "Dearly Devoted Dexter". I find the storyline of the books much more interesting then the first 3 seasons of the show, but the show is still awesome.

The Book of Basketball: The NBA According to ESPN's The Sports Guy by Bill Simmons.

Great basketball book. Should be required reading for any true NBA fan. Long (almost 700 pages). The footnotes works well with the Kindle edition.

Good to Go: The Life and Times of a Decorated Member of the U.S. Navy's Elite Seal Team Two.
I really enjoyed this book as I like me army stuff n' tings.

I also read Slaughterhouse 5, and finished the book on the day Kurt Vonnegut died :(

Good call. I liked every book by Vonnegut, but Slaughterhouse 5, IMO is his work. His biting satire makes me think of him as a modern day Mark Twain. I always like how his alter ego, Kilgore Trout, invariably finds a way into his books.

The author of Time Traveler's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger, has a second book out - Her Fearful Symmetry. Sounds interesting, though I haven't read either one.

I have gone back to reading Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I read Relic years ago and am reading The Cabinet of Curiosities right now. Relic out-x-files The X-Files!
