Thanks for the feedback. Not sure about the quality of the Telsa, but I know that PS makes quality stuff. I have a Spigen SGP Neo Hybrid EX Slim metal on order. I'll see how that bumper is before ordering the PS Flat Bumper. $39.95 is a bit pricey for this style bumper though.

The Tesla Bumper does appear to be a knockoff but the big difference besides price is the bottom slots. On the Tesla, it's completely open on the bottom so adapters and docks should not be a problem.

No problem. I currently have a Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Slim Vivid and its nice. I drop my iPhone twice from waist high and it protected my phone like a champ. The only problem I have with the case is that I have to take it off to put it in my dock. This is why I'm looking for a nice case with an open bottom.

Side note: Check the reviews on the Spigen site for the EX Slim Metal one you bought. Apparently it can't handle drops well and comes apart easily on impact.

I've been using the thin edge for like 8 months now. I think its the best looking bumper. I have 3 friends that ordered the same bumper after seeing mine. Only thing that sucks is the shipping time of 3-4 weeks since its from Hong Kong.

Is thinedge good? I see some review saying it's very lose. Action like taking out from pocket could lead to the fastener being open

Thanks again. I am not too concerned about those reviews. It's a two piece bumper and can see it coming apart on impact.

I had a thinedge and mine was very very fit.. What I dindt like was the horrible clip.. I dont know why they dont provide a black clip with the black bumper..
Know there is a new version that is a leather bumper.. It looks good, but again, it has a color clips..

I didn't like this case, i'm waiting for my caze thinedge

Mine began cracking after less than 3 months and I take very good care of my phone. Contacted them and the offered me 20% off of a new one. I would suggest you stay away from it.

Ordered a new Avivo Rail instead. 20 bucks to my face with the coupon code.

I had one of these with my 4S when it was with another company. Very nice bumper. I wish they had silver or grey/gunmetal. Just black, white and pastel colors. (I still worry about signal loss with metal cases, however.)

For a bumper case the Tavik is pretty nice...

Exact same thing happened to me. The Thinedge started cracking in a couple of different corners, sent photos to Caze to show them, and was only offered a 20% off coupon for a new bumper. I ended up coating the cracks with superglue and that seems to have stopped them from getting worse.

The TESLA actually gives the PS Flat bumper & Colorant B1 bumper a run for its money. For its asking price and color options, it should be worth to try out. :)

For those of you who wanted more durability & style, metal bumpers are the only good choice. However the risk of lowering your iPhone's signal by 1 bar is an important consideration.

Well, give & take i would say :)

Looking for a minimalist, non metal, light bumper for my iPhone 5s. I need one that accommodates third party lightening cables, without having to remove the bumper when attaching it. I did have a Scosche (metal) which was very nice and fit the third party lightening cables, however, over time I noticed a slight signal drop with the bumper on despite the advertising claims. I perused the posts here and, unless I missed something, did not see a bumper case that matches what I'm looking for. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if the ELAGO S5 bottom cut out is big enough for your 3rd party lightning cable.

Someone's review on Amazon:

Lightning adapter opening is too small
Unfortunately they have not updated their design around the lighting port like so many others have.
So this bumper will only fit official lighting cords as 95% of after market cords are thicker where they plug in.
My after market adapter in the house and the apple one for my car will not fit with this case on.
The car adapter is factory apple but is in a dock and this cases opening for the lightning is too small.
So this Elago case sits on my desk by my computer as it is to inconvenient to use.

Guess that answers my question. The Elago does look nice though, especially the gray.

Problem solved. The Photive Hybrid iPhone 5 & 5S Bumper Case seems like it will work.
Here's a review from GeeksBlog:
"Photive goes down well with users. It’s got quality, a subtle style and resembles – to a large extent – the original Apple bumpers that used to be. Also, most importantly, it’s got the lightning port cutout perfectly now. Under $10 apiece on Amazon, Photive Hybrid iPhone 5 bumper is one of the first choices of customers."
Amazon review:
"Fits snug. The bottom cutout is probably one of the best. Even w/ the case, 3rd-party lightning cables (i.e. amazon basic) fits w/o any issues. The headphone slot works like charm and does not distort the mono-speaker (which is an apple issue). The only nagging issue is the fingerprint magnet issue -- however, it is a bumper ... so I guess that passes.

Thanks to everyone who replied though :)

Started off with this MobC Bumper, nothing fantastic and kind of pricey at $17.99 it was an impulse buy after reading a couple recommendation reviews on other sites should have came here first.

Next I went with a CaseCrown Slider case and an iOttie Notch case.

But I came back to MacRumors to check and see if there were any nice aluminum bumpers and stumbled on this case and ordered me a grey edition for my white iphone 5 i hope the metal doesnt degrade the signal. Has anyone heard about this case? I love Elago great company but unsure about the quality of this bumper especially since it's a fairly newer product...

I've been using mine for 9 months. Mine hasn't cracked. Only thing is that the coating is starting to come off at the 7 month mark but that may be because of multiple drops.

Best BUmper out there?

Generally it's for folks that don't want a full-on case but also don't want their phone's front or back glass touching whatever surface they set it down on.

It's also lighter than any other case since it has no back!

Lastly, it allows the back to breathe to prevent overheating the phone. Every iPhone design is meant for the back plate to be the heat dissipator. Heavy use or charging does heat up the phone.

The Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Slim is perfect. I purchased some new colors in the last 2 months and the occasional bumper slipping has disappeared. I think they tightened up the fit. Confirmed on two cases.
