doesn't best buy have a price match policy for local brick & morter stores? Or are phone excluded from this?

I probably would have raised a little stink at the store, just to avoid a trip somewhere else.

They do and I read it while the manager as standing next to me and there is no mention of this anywhere, that was my argument, they should have some clause in there saying excludes cell phones or something. But yea I am normally not the type of person who challenges people in retail just because I used to work retail for some time and I hated people who were difficult.

To the OP: Put your droid X on ebay. I had a month old one with a few extras and sold it in 12 hours for $300. Paid for my iphone. Could get more probably.

The way I got my iphone was to add a line on the family plan for 10 a month. Then I switched the iphone to my droid line keeping the data plan intact. I then hooked up an old razr to the iphone line dropping the data plan. So I pay 10 a month for an iphone. Cost to have an iphone $240 plus the taxes for it that the droid didn't cover.

P.S. 32G version.

Just saying if you are desperate

I just did this and you saved me some cash. Thank you! I am playing with my new iphone as we speak.

I'm glad you got your iPhone but I thought they had already showed the CDMA version was $100 more retail than the gsm version? I thought I read that here on the forums.
