Sorry, I don't. I'm still holding onto my MacBook Pro from 2011, hence that's why I'm looking for a new machine. I want something thin and light so that I can take around the house and such. My 2011 machine is still working extremely well. So I'm debating between using MacBook 12 (2017) or just get a keyboard to work with my iPad Pro and remote desktop into my work machine.

Only issues with my MacBook Pro 2011 is the weight and how thick it is compare to the new machines, it is also rather loud under load.

I have to say the 12” form factor is why I keep it around even though I have a loaded 1018 13” MBP from work.

It’s in flawless condition. I find it slow where it will beach ball on many occasions in use. If only using browser it is fast enough. Any comments on the 2017?
The 2017 is pretty snappy. It is no MBP in terms of speed...but it is no slouch, especially with browser, office apps..etc. Really awesome little machine. Great deal at BB right now!

Just ordered it at BB! I currently have 512gb but as you said the deal for the 256gb is too good.

Just received my machine. it’s great except the system can’t seems to find any audio hardware at all under the system profile. Already spent 4+ hours trying the various things and reinstalled the OS 3 times already. If someone has a similar issues before maybe they can share a solution. Right now my research points to hardware issue. Although Apple hardware test returns nothing. Any idea? I’m taking it back to Best Buy first thing tomorrow, just want to see if anyone has any input. I trying to see if I want to do an exchange or simply return and just wait to see what they have in sep. thanks.

I’ve had an issue in the past where my 12” didn’t recognise the internal speakers and a PRAM and SMC reset resolved it (can’t remember which).

Thanks tried everything, nothing helped. I was more or less on the fence (due to the keyboard issue). I think I’m just going to wait for the new release and see what Apple come it with.

My mb is due to arrive on tuesday but looks like it might get here tomorrow. MB is perfect for me since 99% of the time I spend online.

Mine is coming on Friday. Tempted to get the new MBA instead (newer processor, T2, Touch ID). Thoughts?

I actually saw it when I was returning my mb back to best buy. It looks better than I remembered. However, if I have to pick I’d still choose the form factor of the mb over the shape of the mba.

Yeah. MB form factor is just so good and light. The MBA is the closest to it while offering modern internals.

Next gen MB should have Touch ID or even Face ID. That would make it perfect IMO.

The Best Buy deal is pretty amazing. I too found it for $500 off during one of their flash sales, bringing the price of the base model down to $800. I was skeptical that I was really going to get the deal until I actually went in to pick it up. While this is the same Macbook from 2 years ago, it is a heck of a deal.

I've owned many different Apple laptops and this has to be my favorite form factor for travel and use at work as I run from meeting to meeting. I hope they keep this one around for a few more update cycles.

Totally agree, I have been loving this little marvel. And I also have the MBP 13'. I find myself picking up the MB12 every time.

You guys are killing me here. I need to be strong and hold out for the next gen. Haha.

$799 for a certified excellent open box is too good to pass, ordered and arriving Friday.

I was thinking the same thing, but then realized even if they do release the updated model today, it would likely be $1300. For $800, this is a great laptop and I would still buy the $800 2 year old model. Of course, they could make the new model so cool that I'd kick myself, but it seems like a safe risk.

Yea I totally agree. For me it’s just simply the fact that we are so close to Sep (relatively speaking) I think it’s worth the wait. If this was a year ago I’d jump on it.

A year ago the price wouldn’t be so low. Basically the question would be is the new model worth twice as much to you as the current?
